You awoke with a sense of urgency. You grabbed your phone off the nightstand sitting by your bed, the time was 10:56AM. In the back of your sleep-ridden mind, fragments of last night's groupchat conversation began to piece themselves together. Right, you were supposed to meet your friends in like half an hour. You dragged yourself out of bed and did a cartwheel, just because. A shower might do you some good, considering the fact that you can't remember when you last took one, so you head to your bathroom and do just that. After you finally don't stink anymore, you pick out an outfit in haste and put it on, not wasting any more time on doing anything to your hair (maybe you should have, though). Breakfast can be skipped, you decide, and instead grab any snacks that you can find in your kitchen, packing them into your bag. You might have a long day ahead...

You walk to Miles' house, there's no need to take your bike for a 10 minute walk. You reach it at around 11:40 something and, as expected, your friends are there already, waiting for you on Miles' porch.

'Five more minutes and we would have left without you' Miles says.

'Oh, are you that excited to piss your pants as soon as we reach that hotel?' you reply.
(epic girlboss/boyboss/whatever moment)

'I won't!' Miles cries out. 'Bitch...' he mutters after a few seconds.

'We should get going,' Enya says as she stands up.

So you all began your little journey through the forest. Walking and walking and walking, everything looked the same and for a while you wondered if you were just going in circles.
(imagine if you entered slenderman's forest haha din anyone else have a creepypasta phase)

Droopy kept singing 'Enemy' by Imagine Dragons the whole time (ooh ooh the enemy), and he was doing so in a horribly high-pitched voice, for some reason. It was very annoying and every once in a while you had the urge to throw a rock at his head, though you managed to control your impulses (with great effort).

'Can you shut the fuck up, please?' Enya finally spoke up.

'Actually, yes, I have to pee, so I'm gonna go behind that bush' Droopy replied.
(go piss girl 😍)

He disappeared, as he had said, behind a bush, and the rest of you kept on walking. After about 5 minutes, Miles asked 'Hey, where's Big D?'

'Dude, he went to pee like a while ago,' you said.

'Oh. Shouldn't we have waited for him?'

'...probably.'

At that, the rustling of the leaves became louder, and from a nearby bush emerged Droopy, leaves in his hair and all that.
(he's a ginger btw this felt like relevant info)

'Bro, where have you been?'

'You guys left me on my own! I had to fight a demon raccoon creature to find my way back to you,' he said, clearly upset.

You tuned out their bickering and focused on the pathway, until a run-down, very old-looking building came into view. Even from a distance, it emanated an eerie, off-putting feeling. This had to be the hotel.

The others had stopped in place at the same time as you, just taking a moment to look at it. Despite the damaged exterior and the 'abandoned hotel' reputation, there were lights shining in many of its' wooden windows.

'I thought this place was abandoned?' someone asked.

'Yeah, so did I. Every website said it is,' Enya replied.

'Well, we can only find out one way.'

'Let's go, then.'

Upon entering the hotel, you were hit with the smell of stale air and withering plants.
(we all know that place is musty af)

The interior seemed to be taken out of a 40's photograph, with its' peeling wallpaper and burgundy armchairs. There was a small reception desk in sight, though no sign of people around.

'Should we ring the bell?' Droopy questioned.

'Go ahead king,' you said.

So he rung the rusty bell sitting on the front desk. Everyone waited, ten seconds, then twenty, then a minute had passed and there didn't seem to be anyone coming anytime soon.

'Well, I'm bored,' Miles exclaimed. 'Let's take the elevator.'

At this, you all looked at the elevator, then at each other. Enya shrugged, saying 'It's better than waiting around here,' so she called the elevator to your level.

There was a sharp 'ding'; the elevator stopped and the doors opened with a metallic cry, all of you cramming into the small space.

'Geez, this thing's old,' Miles said, knocking on the elevator's wall with the side of his fist.
(good job sherlock)

'Yeah, no shit,' you replied, pressing a random button. A cheerful tune began to play from somewhere.
(dance break, everyone just sort of bops along to the music)

Finally, the elevator stopped with an abrupt jerk, causing you to wobble on your feet for a moment. You step out of it, taking in your surroundings; much like the first floor, on this one you can see another receiption desk (deserted, of course), a small, old-looking couch, and some other decoration which seemed to have been picked in haste. What caught your attention was a door labelled '001' in golden numbers.
(finally why did it take them two
fucking chapters to get to the first door🙄)

'It's locked' Enya said, already at the door. You looked around, perhaps you could find a key or something.
(yes bitch just go in already)

'Oh, there's the key!' you said, crawling through a trolley and grabbing the key. You think it's slightly weird how there's only one key in the reception, but shrug it off quickly. Finally, you unlock the door and step inside, your friends following behind you.
(oh brother, you guys really wanna have a bad time huh)
