a/n: (the original title is 'XIX : dancing boy' in the anime) and yes, i am very much aware that this is episode 19 of the blue lock anime. I've decided to hold out episode 17 and episode 18 because i still haven't figured how to make use of it. its difficult when both the main characters (y/n and Isagi) for my book are separated... so until i sort everything out, here's episode 19 where isagi's team finally reaches fourth stage
another a/n: in the 'additional time' at the end, there is a reference to bungou stray dogs, a reference to a scene in season 4. but to those who haven't watched/read it, there's no spoilers regarding the bsd plot (so you can read it without having to worry about spoilers!)

[ SECOND SELECTION, 3 VS. 3 ]
Isagi, Nagi, and Barou stood on one side of the field as Kunigami, Chigiri, and Reo stood on the other side. Team White had just won against Team Red, and now they were in the midst of thinking who to pick for their fourth member. Nagi let out a hum, looking towards Team Red before glancing at Isagi.
"So... Who do you wanna pick?"
Nagi asked as he placed a hand to his hip. Barou crossed his arms and furrowed his brows, obviously thinking of the options before he eyed Kunigami.
"For me, it's gotta be Number 50, Kunigami. He can hold up the ball in and around the box, and if he joins our team, we'll spend more time with it up front. That way, I can score more goals."
Barou explained in a mutter, remembering every moment Kunigami was proven as a worthy adversary in his eyes. But Nagi retaliated, coming up with his own explanation too.
"No, Reo in an anchor role can do that better while also balancing our attack and defence. If we wanna play however we want, he's our best bet."
Nagi reasoned with a casual expression as Barou let out a hum before sighing in agreement. Instead of getting pissed off like he normally would, Barou looked at Nagi with a content look.
"Hm, I guess that works, too."
"Right?"
It was great that his teammates finally came to an agreement, but it wasn't enough for Isagi.
"True, that'd bring the team together nicely. But it's also a suicidal act that would crush all of our potentials."
