Overstory Chapters 3 and 4 (An Undertale x OC fanfic)

The Royal Guard's Charge

Undyne stood in horror with the Royal Guard as giant beasts resembling armored humanoid bulls caused havoc to the city.

"Attention you mutts!" she said looking at them. "We, The Royal Guard had served our duty well... TODAY! IS THE DAY WHERE MOST OF US SHALL GO DOWN IN HISTORY!"

The members shivered due to this words. When Monsterkind got out of the Underground, some humans joined it and there were also other types of monsters that joined it.

"Yes, I know... Most of us are scared to die..." Undyne said. 

"A lot of our comrades died... Many of them..." she grasped her spear tightly. "We lost many people in our lives... Even those valuable to us..." memories of Alphys flooded through her mind.

"Hey uh um Undyne, have you heard of this anime called Demon Slayer?" Alphys asked Undyne. "Yeah but I haven't watched it yet. why do they kill monsters by the way?" 

"Um those are not monsters, demons are well uh..." 

The yellow lizard explained to Undyne what demons are.

"Huh, so their evil beings from a place called Hell, huh?" the fish woman asked.

"That's right. But in this anime, their more like uh vampires, you know, creatures that have a human appearance to feed on their blood.

"Does that mean that... Even if we disobey your orders, we're all still going to die?" a human member of the Royal Guard said.

"Yes..." Undyne said darkly.

"Does that mean that... Whatever we do we would die eventually?"

"Yes..."

"Our comrades died in the past while giving all their efforts to protect the innocent. But yet, they were still killled..."

The fish woman closed her and eyes gripped her spear tightly.

"But... Were their deaths futile and in vain?"

She opened her eyes.

"No! Their legacy would be passed down from generation to generation! All those brave men who have fallen shall be remembered and honored!" she shouted loud enough to grab their attention. "They would inspire us... Those who are still alive! Even their children to continue fighting and stand for the innocent! We would not surrender because us, soldiers do not buckle up or yield!"

Undyne did a salute.

"DEDICATE YOUR HEARTS!" she shouted. The soldiers saluted back at her.

Storyshift Chara sent multiple red knives flying to a bull, they shattered harmlessly against it. She aimed for the forehead and sent ones to it as well, they impaled it, making it howl in pain.

"That's it... The weakness is the forehead!" Ralsei said.

Suzie looked at the other AUs assisting them.

"Everyone! Aim for the forehead!" she shouted.

"Aim for the forehead!" Swap!Papyrus shouted summoning multiple bones in the air that flew straight to the bull's forehead, it impaled it and made it fall backwards to the ground.

Soon, every single ally was now aware of the bulls' weaknesses.

Theron dodged Sans' gaster blaster while in his armored bull form by side-stepping.

Suddenly, he heard battle cries.

"Eh?" he said.

The members of the Royal Guard came charging towards the bulls.

"Members of the Royal Guard charging towards their death, eh?" Theron said his voice echoing.

They fired guns and threw spears at his forehead but unlike the other bulls, he didn't fall dead.

"My soldiers, fire! My soldiers, rage! My soldiers, fight!" Undyne shouted.

Theron threw a rock at her, she dodged it as she used her Undying form.

She took down loads of the bulls by herself.

Theron watched in silence as she did. "Undyne, Captain of the Royal Guard... I shall remember that you had the guts to try and kill me and these bulls!" he shouted as he blasted a beam from his palm, it went through Undyne's back, leaving a hole on it.

One of the bulls roared and emitted heat from his back, burning Undyne into crisps.

Her burnt body fell to the ground and was crushed by one of the bulls' feet.

This plays:

"How pathetic! Not even the Captain can stop me!" Theron shouted blasting balls of energy at the members of the Royal Guard, loads of them died due to this.

They hurled their spears and fired their guns at his forehead but it was all futile.

He fed on their fear of death and summoned illusions, some of them were too distracted to continue charging and were blasted to death by Theron but the others who were aware of his abilities as a person who possesses the soul of Fear continued charging while ignoring the illusions.

"Why the hell are you still fighting! All your attacks are pointless!" he shouted.

He took a deep breath and did a sonic cry, sending them stumbling backwards. The armored bulls crushed the rest of them with their feet.
