Time

22 2 1

Seconds turn to minutes
Minutes become hours
Hours to days
Days to months
And months to years
Everyone's time is different
Some have not enough of it
Others too long..
Ones filled with only loneliness as a companion
And there are ones that it seems to be nothing but a myth that you can ignore
But time never ends
It may end for you
Your friend
Or even a loved one
But time marches on with or without your consent
To it, your life is a simple blip in its ongoing reality
An no matter how much you try to stop it
All it will do is laugh at your attempt as it did, and will do to many others
They say time heals all wounds
But what about the wounds time causes
Do those ever really heal
Do they really go away
Or do they simply become bearable to continue on
Or make the decision that you just can't
Time, much like Mother Nature or love, is a cruel mistress
But time rules over even them
So how long do you have
It could be seconds......
Minutes..............
Hours..........
Days..........
Months....
Years...?
How long you have shouldn't matter
What should be important is how you spend it
So you don't live with a life full of regrets
And one where you wish things could just pause
Live every moment like it may be you last,
Because.....
It might just be
And there is no stopping that.
No matter how hard you try
