This was supposed to be the second update for next week 🌚🌚🌚🌚Orian's pov
I had desperately craved a spark of life within me after these past tumultuous days and tumbling down the stairs with Amara, hearing her screeches and laughter as she tried to wrestle my diary from me did just that and unexpectedly, it began to heal a part of me.
I gazed down at her, my heart swelling and chest heaving as I felt light spread within me, the sparks I felt from coming in contact with her skin and the playful flicker in her eyes made me want to tumble down the next flight of stairs just to see her like this again, to be flooded with the light she gave me anew.
Her hair was already tousled, the untamed blonde curls scattering all over her face and I watched her uneven breathing, the movement of her chest, and her luscious lips parted as she tried to gain her breath.
"Why do I have a feeling you enjoyed that?" A smile appeared on her lips as she peered up at me with those gorgeous green eyes and she was right.
I enjoyed it, even if it was the first time I had done anything like that and it felt like I was a child playing freely again.
I was thankful that she came up to my room forcing me out of my shell because realistically, drinking and moping about wouldn't solve my problems but it felt good and I wasn't ready to talk about my past. I was still ashamed that she saw me like that, being vulnerable, teary, and weak. I had to switch from my moodiness and pretend I was okay when I saw her.
I questioned if she would ever see me as a man capable to be her mate or husband. Hector's words haven't left my head since, reeling in my thoughts and quelling my courage anytime I thought of it confiding in her these past few days.
"No, I didn't." I lied trying to pull the diary from her but she had a death grip on it as hard as she glared at me for saying I didn't enjoy tumbling down the stairs with her, "Not everyone acts like a child as you do."
"If I am a child, you know what will make you?" She smirked and I knew exactly what was on her mind.
"A nanny." I watched her face fall at my answer, "A full-time, unpaid grown-ass nanny."
"Not, a nanny you idiot, a pe-" I released my hand from the diary and slammed it over her mouth before she could complete her statement.
She pushed me off of her and I grabbed the book pulling at it before she could run off with it and dragged her back to the ground with me, "Let me go."
"Give me back my diary!"
"You sound like a child!" She tried yanking it from my hold but I pulled at the it again, "I have every right to read this!"
"You do?" I questioned, "And why is that? You have the right to invade my privacy?"
"Of course." She nodded, "You deceived me, invasion of mental privacy, kidnapped me, invasion of I don't know what name of privacy this is. You forced me to marry you and you denied me strawberries for days! You invaded my human rights and privacy with your actions."
"You sound ridiculous." I scoffed.
"Take that back!" She pounced on me and managed to wrestle the book from my hold and then she flung it aside. I pushed her off and attempted to crawl towards the book but she kicked my knee and headed towards it before I did.
"Nice try," I grunted wrapping my fingers around her ankle and dragging her back to my spot away from the book as she struggled against me, I dragged her further away till we got to the wall and leaned against it with the book within our sights but far from our reach.
