Orian's pov

"Can you hear that?"

I stood still, hands limp by my side with my gaze traveling across the expanse of the blue sea before me.

I could feel the sea breeze against my skin, the way it caressed its way through my clothes of pure white fabric as white as the seagulls that flew above with their plaintive  squawks  making a simple cacophony with the sounds of the waves crashing.

A huge wave rose, falling and sweeping across the banks covering my bare feet and I smiled at the feel of the cool water untainted by the sun rays that shone brightly yet calmly.

"Can you hear that?"

I asked myself again with a smile on my face this time, and the wind blew yet again playing with the strands of my hair blowing some over my face and rustling the fabric of my clothes.

"It sounds like the first blooming of flowers in spring scattered across the mountains and it feels like the first warm rays of the morning sun kissing your skin in the most delightful of ways."

It felt like peace, this is peace.

One moment I was empty on the inside with gut-wrenching pain making me twist in agony and the next I was here with a serene feeling casting inside of me cloaking me with warmth and calming my nerves.

It felt like I had known no pain before this neither have I known a feeling as tranquil as this.

My thoughts were interrupted when I saw a shadow creeping up on me from behind, I noticed the shadow take its form on the sand followed by the tapping of a stick and slow steps.

I turned around immediately to see a man dressed in white like me bearing a smile with his face shining bright.

He had in his hand a staff that seemed that have a purpose other than supporting his walking steps and he possessed a calm aura to him making me feel unwary.

"Welcome." He spoke on reaching me with his eyes appraising my looks, "You look ready to go back, you fought well."

"Go back where? Who are you?"

"Come with me." He pronounced ignoring my questions before turning and walking towards the other side, "Now!" His voice got sterner when he saw me standing there looking at him dumbfounded.

"No."

He turned to raise a brow at me.

"I am a king, you can't just ord-ouch!" My statement finished in an exclamation of pain as he had magically appeared beside me and struck his stick on my head, "Hey! Why did you-"

He whipped it again giving me time to dodge his hit and it landed on my back this time making me stumble in my stand.

"I wonder how Amara puts up with you!"

"You know my wife?!" I frowned at him having a lot of questions on my tongue.

He glowered at me, eyes narrowed in disapproval before reading out his instruction one more time and giving me a look that made me abandon arguing further.

I let him take the lead and followed.

He led me away from the beach and we walked in silence giving me time to contemplate what was happening.

I wanted to know where I was and how I ended up here. I wanted to know how Amara was doing and if she knew about the babies yet.

As we traveled further I noticed how different the place looked, how serene it felt with the beautiful scenery that felt like spring and I could see people dressed in white as we were. They all wore smiles on their faces and looked like they were living their best lives.
