The summer air was still crisp as the students bustled around Yale, hurridly moving around, trying to transfer their belongings from their cars to their dorms. A young redhead stood by her father, helping him transfer boxes onto a cart. She smiles warmly at her father as he grabs a box to carry, the last one in the car. Her stepmother stood next to her, keeping one hand on the borrowed second cart. The young girl nods to the man standing by her, and he closes the trunk and gets back into the car.

They walked a short distance before arriving at a wooden door with a whiteboard on the outside. The young girl smiles shyly at the thought that there may already be people inside the dorm. She was not at all social. She preferred to keep to herself; therefore, she didn't have any friends. She pulls the cart into the dorm's living room and looks around, her stepmother not too far behind her. Her father walks in and begins to step back into the dorm before looking at another door and smiling at her. The door had another whiteboard on its door, and she noticed her name was written on it. Bobbie.

There was a small furniture set in the living room, a basic couch, a coffee table, two chairs, and a small telly set. Bobbie's dad opens the door to her room, and she smiles at the layout. Her bed was along the wall furthest from the entrance. There was a window with a small nook that could be used as a place for her to read. There were two dressers and a desk; she had a closet and the entrance of the room, and a large ceiling fan was in the middle of the room.

The small family began unloading the boxes from the carts into the bedroom before saying their quick goodbyes. Bobbie had to go to her orientation.

"Goodbye, I love you so much. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything," Bobbie's father, Robert Jace Jones II, says to his daughter, kissing her head, his Scottish accent thick.

"Love you too," She says softly, her Scottish accent also prominent, hugging her dad one last time.

She had already said goodbye to her stepmother, Casey Marie Jones nee Thompson. They had a very close relationship. Her stepmother was the only person who could get her to go out and do things, even if it was with her. They went to concerts together, mainly country music.

Bobbie Kay Jones sat in her bedroom for the first time, just considering that she was finally in her dream school. She grabbed the current book she was reading, mainly to find a place to read after the orientation tour, and then headed out of her dorm. She is stopped when she hears the turning of the main door and retreats into her room.

"Just like I pictured it," Someone says.

"Did you see an emergency exit?" Another asks.

Bobbie peers out slowly and notices it is a younger girl who looks about her age and then someone a little older than her.

"A fireplace too! I wonder if it's wood burning!" The older girl says.

"It says here, 'Upon arrival, please take note of the emergency exits," The younger girl says.

"Hey, we could burn the mattress in there! Save us a trip," The older girl says. Bobbie looks at them curiously but quickly hides when the older girl turns towards her door.

"Aww man, a piece of my map ripped off," The younger girl says.

"Which one is your room?" The older woman asks.

"I'm missing half of the old campus," The younger girl says.

"Rory! This is it!" The older woman says, heading to the other room.

"If I have old campus activities today, I'm screwed!" Rory says.

Bobbie hears a door open and sighs when she hears the rustling of their bags getting quieter; she might have a chance to sneak out.
