I was sitting down in a cafe reading a book and munching on a set of meals when someone sit on the vacant chair in front of me. when I glance at the person I went surprised to see him in his old looks. I automatically smile recognizing his killer smile.

"Long time no see," I said.

"You look the same as if years weren't passing," he remarked.

"That was just my makeup. How are you doing here." I asked.

"I got some errands. How about you? You didn't have any company at the moment?"

"I just buy groceries. I am killing my time before I go home."

"I see. So how are you?"

"I should be the one to ask that. You know that my life will never change course until I die."

His smile fades away and murmur things that I never understand. I frown and straighten my sit to confront him about it but he grins sweetly.

"Don't give me that look. What did you say?" I demand.

"Oh, Nothing. I am thinking of making you smile one day." He said.

It was my smile's turn to fade after hearing that. I blink twice, looking at him. I fully knew where our conversation was heading, so I grabbed my fries and shoved them close to him.

"Eat. That's how you can make me smile." I said brushing awkwardly.

He simply munched on the fries and grabbed my drinks. In silence, I watch him silently consuming my food with a small smile. The view makes me feel contented and brokenhearted at the same time.

"What did you buy?" He asked grabbing the plastic bag. In one swift move, I stood and hurriedly grabbed the plastic bag but being a man with active reflex, he moved it farther from my reach.

"I'm just checking what it is." He raises an eyebrow.

My high heels slipped off the floor so I lost balance and fell over him. He on the other hand smacked my chest and slammed on the chair seat. It takes some seconds before we both awkwardly pull ourselves up.

"Oh, crap. What's wrong with you?" I asked annoyed still vying the bag from his grip.

"Can't I see what's in this?" He scowled back

When I see his face it freezes me seeing his red ears. He snatched the bag and opened it then grinned which snapped me. One by one, he places what I bought on the table which burns my face in embarrassment. I can only pout and avert my head away.

"Seriously? Are you a man inside a dress?" He asked smiling

"You know that I prefer that from them. That's my holy grail. I don't intend to be seductive using male toiletries." I snarled picking up the things and snatching back the plastic bag.

He was laughing as I placed the rest of it inside. When I stood to return to my seat he grabbed me and pulled me down to sit again. I pick another strip of french fries and shove it in his mouth to stop him from his silent chuckling.

"Right, right. I'm sorry." He chortled.

"That's not sincere. I hate you." I said.

"I am always sincere you just always thought, I'm not?" He said seriously.

"How would I believe you? You always make fun of me."

"It was my nature."

"Nature your face. Just eat, you must be hungry."

"You haven't answered my question earlier." He asked after we both checked our phones.

"Nothing's changed. I still managed to survive my stress and anxiety. What else do you want me to tell you?

"Did nothing really change? Are you sure about that?"

"Yes."

I look at him and see his worried look. It makes me puzzled to see him thinking deeply in front of me. Then a crew approaches us all of a sudden which interrupts everything.

"Ma'am, Sir. Can I take a shot of you as our valued customers? My managers find you suitable so they ask me to take a shot of you two and then we will post it on the bulletin board." The crew said.

"Pass. The world could see us then we will be in trouble." I refuse

"How can we be suitable?" He asked.

"Well we find you two a good couple--"

"But we're not. Let's skip this photo thing because if this man next to me were still single. His chance of finding his other half can be in danger." I smiled.

"Hey, it's a good idea." He snapped

"What idea?" I frown glancing at him.

"Let's take this picture then I will introduce you as my ex." He replied shoving a fries in his mouth.

I was lost for words when he said that but I managed to utter my disbelief. I look back at the crew who smile widely at us and prepare his camera. I waved my hand to hold it for some more minutes and then looked back to the one who seriously looking at me in his seat.

"Come on, it won't hurt," he said placing an arm on my shoulder and pulling me closer against him.

I flinched and tried to push myself away but it was a wrong move as his arm crawled down on my waist pulling me closer to him. So close that we are skin-to-skin. I look at him and he smirks but I smack his chest making him wince and look at me frowning.

"What are you doing?" I ask glaring at him

"What we're taking a picture? We're a couple in the picture." he simply replied with his grin forming.

"I know! but is it really needed?" I asked pushing him.

He raises an eyebrow for a moment but then his gaze turns softly and smiles cupping my other cheek. My heart beats fast at his gesture. That was a bold move he ever did to me. We are unaware that the crew took a shot of us at that angle. He gently pulled me to face and whispered to me to smile as the camera flashed again.

"Thank you, ma'am, sir. You two look like a perfect sweet couple. I hope someday you two end up with each other. Anyway, I'll take my leave, enjoy your meal, and have a nice day." The crew said before happily walking away

The crew has been long gone but he still holds me tight in that posture. He was silently sitting beside me staring blankly and his arm gave warmth to me as it wrapped around my waist but it shouldn't be there. As much as I want it to linger more, I know it is forbidden. I noticed he held me tighter and closer and before I could protest he spoke.

"Please, just a little more." he said quietly
