Damian's POV:

After jumping into my tux and gelling my hair back me and the boys walked to the midnight bonfire through the shortcut in the forest. When we got there everyone was already socializing. People made out in corners and most of the teenagers had red plastic cups in their hands.

The pit of fire in the middle set a beautiful lighting and the evening looked magical. The girls there were all very attractive but I wasn't only searching for beauty I was searching for a spark. Frank, one of the best fighters in the pack strode up to me with a huge smile. "Hey Damian how you doing br-" He stopped mid sentence and his eyes darkened with lust.

He better not be looking at me.
I thought but then Jay punched me in the shoulder "What?" I asked slightly annoyed. "Look," Jay pointed behind me and in front of me stood the most beautiful women in the world.

"Dawn...," my voice came out as a whisper. She was standing at the edge of the bonfire. She was with Kayla and Kat but out of the three she was by far the most beautiful. Her skin glowed in her metallic silver dress and her auburn hair flowed behind her like wings. The dress length showed off her long graceful legs.

I was struck speechless and I could tell the other boys at the bonfire thought the same. Except the other guys are not thinking about her beauty they're thinking something like 'she's so finnne' and that thought made me let out a soft growl.

Mate! My wolf yelled deep inside my mind. My body felt a powerful pull to her and my legs automatically moved towards her. "Damian?" Jay said in the distance but I didn't listen to him, I just needed to get to her.

Dawn's POV:

When me and the girls walked to the edge of the stone path I spotted the flames in the distance. Bodies swayed together and I could smell the smoke. We stepped out into the clearing and literally everyone's eyes were glued to us.

Mostly the boys stared at us, the girls just glared. Damian started to walk towards us. He was wearing a rather handsome tuxedo and his hair was nice and slick. I suddenly got the urge to run my hands through it and mess it up.

"Hey Damian!" Kat and Kayla said next to me. He completely ignored them. His eyes just stuck to mine. "Hey," I said quietly. When he reached me his arms encircled my waist and he pulled me to his chest tightly sending an explosion of electric sparks throughout my frail body. "What are you doing?" I asked as I tried to push his chest away but he let out a low growl and my hands immediately dropped.

Kayla and Kats eyes widened and I could hear footsteps approaching us. "Damian," I said looking back at him. His eyes were closed like he was savoring the moment. "What's wrong? Why are you acting like this?" My voices came out hoarse.

"Your my mate Dawn, my soul mate." He brought his head down and whispered in my ear. His breath tickled my neck and I shivered. "D-Damian I-I think your confused." I stuttered and again attempted to push him away but his hold only tightened. "No Dawn you are the person the moon has chosen me to live my life with." His voice was layered with calm but I could hear his desperation.

"I can't do this.....right now," I said looking down. I was ashamed that I would hurt him but I was still scared from my past and it would take a while for those scars to fade. I would not be able to start fresh until my scars were gone. Damian's grip loosened on me and when I looked up his eyes were clouded with hurt. "I'm so sorry Damian," with a yank I pulled away from him and ran into the woods letting my figure succumb to the darkness.

I had ran for at least five minutes before I saw the distant lights of the pack camp. By then my legs felt like jello and my side hurt like hell. Walking up to the gate surrounding the perimeter I realized I didn't have a place to sleep. Without a second thought I walked straight to Kat and Kayla's cabin/house and stepped inside.

The place looked the same as it had when we left, floral curtains, heart shaped pillows, and unmade beds. Even though the rooms seem so teenage-girl-like the mahogany flooring and walls gave off a homey feel.

I ran up to the guest room Kat had showed me before we got dressed and walked out of breath to the bed.

With a huff I fell into the warm embrace of the covers and found myself drifting into a sweet dream.
