Lana pov

I walked into the living room seeing Monse talking to Ruby. Looks like Olivia got to her.

"Ruby, shut up" i said going into the kitchen.

"No, no she's jealous about Cesar" Ruby said as i looked at them confused.

"Why" I asked placing my hand on my hip.

"I saw the way she was looking at him during the dance" he said.

"ah, the dance you kicked me out of" I said smiling, walking back to my bedroom.

"What's wrong" Cesar asked as i laid on the bed next to him.

"Nothing, this whole girl drama. I cannot do it anymore" I said as he started playing with my hair.

"i know, baby. And im so sorry, but im truly done with any girl unless its you" he said kissing my forehead as Ruby called us.

"Look's like its time to dance" he said getting up as i didn't move.

"I'm not going" I said as he rolled my over to look at him.

"And why" he asked.

"He's gonna kick my out like last time" I said rolling my eyes.

"Nah, Jamal texted the group chat. he cant make it" Cesar said grabbing my hands and sitting me up.

"I dont wanna go" I said trying to lay back down, as he sighed picking me up and placing me over his shoulder.

"No, no" I said holding onto the door stopping him.

"Ok, just let go and ill put you down" he said, as i nodded slowly letting to, but he didn't put me down, he kept walking right to the living room.

"he's fired" Ruby said as we walked into the living room as Cesar sat me down on the couch, sitting next to me, as Jasmin was sitting on the arm chair

"we need to find a replacement" Rudy sighed

"Ohhh, i can dance bath parts!" Jasmin smiled as the door bell rang

"We can't replace Jamal" Monse said crossing her arms over her chest

"I don't know anyone else" Olivia sighed

"Well, consider this an opportunity to make new friends" he said going to the door as we all looked at one another confused

Ruby walked over grabbing the food, before looking the man up and down

"you avail Saturday for a quince?" he asked as i groaned

"Ruby!" i yelled looking at him

He looked back to me shrugging "what? he's the right height!" he said before turning back to the man

"I'm sorry. The ladies have no vision" he said grabbing money outta his pocket, and giving it to him

"okay, let's dive it" he said placing the food on the table, as we all sat up to eat before he began to slap everyone's hands

"Not-Not the food!" he said as we all sat back down

"Let's dive into the agenda. Food is for inspiration. Food is for closers. Okay, i'll start. So it turns out the dancing horse doesn't actually dance." he said as Jasmin stood up

"I can dance that part too!" she said before beginning to dance as we looked at her

"what? I don't see anyone else stepping up!"

"Cesar, wha do you think about riding bareback with a sword" Ruby asked, as i pinched my eyebrows together confused

"where am i gonna get a sword?" he asked confused

"ah, so i have to do everything myself!?" he asked groaning

"no!" Olivia yelled as Ruby looked at her

"What's the problem, princesa?" Ruby asked as we looked between the two

"You! You're the problem. Take dinner. We're adjourned." she sighed as we all got up once more to grab the food

"But you haven't earned it!" Ruby yelled stopping us

"Enough! A quince is supposed to be a celebration, but now it's a chore!" Nobody wants to do this, least of all me. It's canceled. The quince is off"

"wha-"

"see you at school tomorrow" she said walking away going to our room, before coming back and grabbing food, and then leaving once more

"Oh, good fucking job, Ruby!" I yelled throwing a chip at him

"wh-what did i do!" he asked throwing his arms up as i glared at him

"You know what you did! You pushed and pushed about this and now she doesn't even wanna do it. Go talk to her. Now!" i yelled at him as he sighed looking down, before going to my room to talk to her

"Ah, now gimme some food" i said leaning back, as Monse handed me a bag laughing

"What are you doing?" Cesar asked coming into my room, as i turned looking at him

"Laying here" i said laying on my stomach

"And where was my invite?" he asked as i raised my eyebrows

"Lost in the mail" i said waving him off

It was quite for a second, before i groaned as he laid on my

"Off!" I groaned as he laughed rolling off of me

Monse, Cesar and I were leaving the gas station

"Ruby, isn't crazy!" Cesar laughed looking at me

"He ordered a horse!" i said shaking my head

" a damn horse" Monse added drinking her drink

"what does Laura Diaz think?" he asked, ah, that was her fake facebook name to stalk her mom

"But seriously, did Laura ever get a response?" i asked as Cesar grabbed my hand

"her friend request was accepted" she said smiling

"holy shit!"

"well, what did you find out?" Cesar asked

"I haven't started digging yet" she sighed

"Let's do it now" Cesar shrugged as she shook her head

"Mm, i don't know. i'm to nervous. Feels like something I should do on my own in case I..." she began but stopped

"In case what?" i asked looking at her

"I can't handle what i find" she said as we nodded

"Okay. But you know we're both here for you, right?" Cesar said as she nodded

"i know. Oh, so get this Lana, remember how i told you she's an author?"

"yeah" i nodded

"Well, i read one of her books. And it's about a teenager who travels back in time and her past self is trying to kill her" she explained

"So, she's literally running from her past"

"Yes! thank you. isn't that insane?" she asked looking at us

"it all seems to be adding up"

"or i'm just reading into it." she sighed as i leaned my head on his arm
