Night Swim: Floyd

"I'll go with Floyd." You said and Floyd is ecstatic. "Get on my back Shrimpy and hold on. We'll be going fast." He says. "Good luck. I won't go easy on you." Jade smirks and you hold onto Floyd.

Floyd dashes off in the water as you hold onto him. "Shimpy, shine the light. I can't see in the dark you know!" He said and you adjust the sea-light so he can see better. You won't lie, this is kind of exciting.

Suddenly, a light shines from behind the two of you. You look behind yourself and see Jade on Floyd's tail. Almost literally. He looks like a snake about to eat his prey whole. "Floyd, he's gaining on us!" You told him. "Hang on, Shrimpy." He says as he makes a sharp turn around the corals as you hold on for dear life.

"Playing fast are we?" You hear Jade's voice behind you two. But Floyd was a little faster than Jade. He makes sharp turns and many loops around the reef.

You turn your head and don't see the sea-light. You turn your head back and Floyd comes to an abrupt stop. Jade is in front of the two of you, he takes the seaweed and chuckles to himself, "I appreciate the seaweed Floyd and Yuu. I'll be off now." He said and swam off. "No fair, Jade." Floyd said and chased after him. You held the light steady so Floyd could easily catch Jade and get the seaweed. This is kind of fun. You never really knew how fun this was.

"Gotcha!" You said as Floyd snatched the seaweed from Jade's hand and swam away as quickly as possible. Jade followed. "Well, would you say you're having fun, Yuu?" He said and you laughed, "Yeah. This is really fun. But should we get back to campus? I feel like we've been out for hours." You asked and Jade nodded. "Alright. Floyd, head back to the Mirror Chamber."

"Aww. Leaving already? I wanted to have more fun..." Floyd sighs disappointingly. "But I am sleepy." He yawns and makes his way back to the Mirror Chamber.

*Mirror Chamber*

The three of you are finally in the Mirror Chamber. You have your original clothes in your arms, and are about to walk back to Ramshackle. "Shrimpy." You heard Floyd say as he caught up to you. "Floyd? Isn't Octavinelle the other way?" You asked him. "Mhm. But walking in wet clothes isn't a good idea, Shrimpy. You could freeze into a statue." He explained and gave you your towel.

"Ah. Did I leave it in the chamber?" You asked and he nodded. "You sat it next to your dry clothes. Did you really not see the towel?" He asked and you shrugged. "Guess I'm just exhausted from playing." You said, walking up the stairs to Ramshackle and stopping at the door.

"Hey Shrimpy. Let's go for another swim again sometime." Floyd said, leaving Ramshackle. "Yeah. I'd like that." You mumbled, walking into the dorm.
