The party (2, Mordern AU)

Juliette

We've just parked outside the house that the party is in and already I can see Adam and his idiot friends walking in. God how I hate them. I told Adam that they made me feel uncomfortable after they where supposedly alleged for SA but as usual he didn't listen.

When I get through the door the heavy smell of weed and strong alcohol hit me, flashing lights blinding me and the sound of The Weeknd music playing. This will be fun.

I go to grab myself a drink looking to start a conversation but all I can see and think about is Adam grinding on some cute girls hips.
I walk into the opposite room trying to free myself from the dancing when I realise I've walked into the "make out" room. Can a girl get a break?

As I'm trying to find a more peaceful room one of Adams friend corners me. Alex.
"Get off me!" I say trying to free myself from his sweaty body.
"Adam was a dick to you, but I- I can treat you so much better babygirl,"
"Get the actual fuck off me now or will not hesitate to scream."
"You wouldn't do that to me would you?"
"Yes, yes I would," I knee him in the crotch and attempt to walk away but he grabs my arm with his gross clammy hand.
"Playing hard to get I see, two can pla-"
Just before he can continue Nazeera punches him - hard and right in the nose.
"Touch her again and I'll cave your head through shitface!"
"Thanks for that," I smile
"Don't worry about"
"Let's go dance" she continues
Before I can answer I'm dragged to the dance floor the song 'Desert Rose' playing in the background.
Nazeera and I drift apart with the big crowds until I'm dancing now closer to the entrance when I see Kenji walking in with the person I'd least expect him to be with...

Aaron

I'm dressed in a black dress shirt with a matching pair of pants freshly showered and my cologne already on. I walk out the door ready for what I'm about to go through. Kenji beeps and motions for me to get into the car, I sit in the front seat just to be welcomed by a loud group of boys in the back.
"You've dressed up," Kenji winks at me.
I roll my eyes at him, and wonder how long I'll have to deal with this.

We arrive at the party clearly later than most people, the house is already packed and it all looks too hot and stuffy. Maybe I shouldn't of agreed to come..

I walk in behind Kenji already expecting what to see when I enter. Despite what I thought I see Kenji being greeted by a girl with a big smile on her face.
That girl just happened to be Juliette, Juliette in her black mini skirt that's probably too short for her own good, I must remember to thank the gods later . Her silk shirt only buttoned up half way. I must say I'm in awe, I don't think I can recall any time I've been as attracted to someone in my life.
Shit I think to myself when I remember her boyfriend deeply hates me so there's a good chance that she does too.
I feel Kenji nudge me,
"This is Aaron, you probably know him already but oh well,"
"Nice to see you again, Aaron" my name sounds like heaven escaping her rosey, pretty lips, I bet it'd sound better when she's moani-
Get your head out the gutter Aaron
"I could say the same, love" she blushes and I feel my heart explode.
She has a boyfriend, remember?
The thing is I've been secretly in love with Juliette ever since the start of middle school when she stuck up for me in a fight I had with some prick called Alex. And now she's dating Adam, Alex's bestfriend also another prick I've had to beat up once or twice.
"Well I should probably go, oh and Kenji I saw Nazeera go into the kitchen," she winks and in the blink of a second she's disappeared into the crowds.
