Luz Pov:

It was getting around 8 'o'clock and I decided that I wanted to get there early, it'd be a nice surprise, hopefully.

I had been gone all day doing deliveries for Eda so it was nice just getting to stay in one area, with someone I knew especially. I walked into the library and to a once hidden opening and made my way inside to find a now asleep Amity coming back to consciousness as I walked inside perhaps a bit too loudly.

I hated to wake her up but seeing her wake up and smile as she saw me was adorable. It didn't last for too long though, she had immediately jumped up and rubbed her eyes before greeting me. "Hey Luz! So glad to see you! I couldn't wait so I came over to clean but I must've fallen asleep."

"Oh no worries Amity! I'm glad to see you too! I know that it's been awhile since the last time we've seen each other so I just wanted to say that I'm glad to see you again!" It was hard for me not to say, oh it's been so long, I just want to tell you how I feel, but luckily I managed to keep my composure.

She jumped to me and hugged me, something odd from the well-put-together Amity Blight I knew but I wasn't gonna complain because I didn't want it to end, but also because I couldn't tell if it was a dream, and if it was, I didn't want to wake up.

"So, did you bring the book?" Amity asked me, having just grabbed something off of the shelf, an envelope and box? Hmm, interesting.

"Yeah I did!" I told her as I pulled it out from behind my back, and handed it to her. "Crazy to think I had it all these years, thought I would've confused it with one of my copies if it weren't for the bookmark." I pull out the bookmark I had, pictures of us, taken in this room. I saw a smile start on her face as she handed me the envelope, I assume to open it.

I unsealed the envelope and found pictures inside, copies from her memories of the two of us. Some of these were of the first time we met, me looking like an abomination and one of them was after the duel we had at the coven convention, a bright light in front of my face. She had a warm smile on her face, "I thought these were all important memories and I wanted to share them with you. Also, I found this and I wanted to give it to you." She handed me a box, small and light. I opened it to find a necklace inside, one so pretty that just like with the last gift I couldn't help but to smile. "Emira said it would be a nice gift so I thought I should give it to you tonight."

(Hey, so sorry for this being a shorter chapter and also apologies for all of the waits between chapters! I don't exactly have the best health so that's caused some of the delays but pair that with a bad memory and you get a bad upload schedule and I just wanna say my bad 😅)
