My heart flattered.

Not how it did when Kaeya called me beautiful, not when he called me love, not when he held my hand for a second. It was different.. I think?

Because he noticed.. me.

''My my Diluc.. when did you take notice of the beauties of Mondstadt.'' Kaeya pipped up wrapping an arm around the bar tender.

Are they close?

Then it hit me. Diluc. This man was a legend. A legend of Mondstadt. Through I've never seen him before, I should have noticed. He was rich, famous and good looking.. meaning he was not only an idol to those in the business and wine industry but to the young women too.

All expenses women always gave him.. and he noticed me? wow.

Tuning back into the conversation I saw Diluc give a light nod before saying something.

''I'm on break right now, I'll get someone to serve you both.'' he started to stand up slowly before being hastily pushed back down by Kaeya.

''It's your break, I'll go get someone, please keep Y/n company.'' He said with a wink before walking of.

If I wasn't already flustered my mouth would have been left ajar.

The tension was awkward as Kaeya left. Diluc didn't seem that talkative. I was still in shock how I sitting next to one of the most richest people of Mondstadt- not to mention extremely good-looking.

I didn't want to seem impolite Infront of him so I tried to start a conversation.

''So, What is your relation with Kaeya?''

I saw him stiffen slightly. Was it too personal?

''We are brothers, adopted. What about you?'' monotone and his facial expression relaxed but almost seemed to form a frown, I couldn't tell.

''We just met yesterday aha.. we are friends.'' I replied awkwardly.

''I see, do you like him?''

I definitely did not expect him to ask questions like this.  I started stuttering in shock. My breathing hitched and my cheeks grew a rosy hue.

''NO! Uhh.. I mean.. we only met yesterday.. I don't know him that well!'' I replied trying to stay as calm.

I happened to change the subject to wine. Maybe this conversation would suit his taste better.

Though I knew nothing about wine it was interesting how his demina changed. It didn't seem as if he enjoyed wine too much himself, but I could tell how his speaking pace quickened and his eyes widened slightly. Slightly zoned out as I read his face I decided to tune back in.

''...when I tried it, it didn't exactly particulate to my taste..'' He ended his sentence, his eyes slightly squinting.

I nodded almost mesmerised by him. He was definitely my type... but he was also the type of  all the girls in Mondstadt.

I soon noticed Kaeya walking back. I had completely forgotten about him, due to the fact that I was in shock at even though how introverted Diluc seemed, I seemed to have be able to carry a conversation with such ease... I think? I'm not quite sure because even on the topic of his speciality (wine) he didn't say all the much.

Kaeya sat back into the chair next to Diluc before telling me he got two apple cinders.

I nodded in acknowledgement before excusing my self to the bathroom.

I just had to freshen up.

Kaeya's POV:

I walked back after ordering the two drinks just to see Diluc and Y/n busy in conversation. Confused as even only knowing Y/n for a day- I can tell she doesn't talk to anyone especially with the way she types. So I stood amused for a second watching Diluc talk away as she started mesmerised into his soul.

After a moment, I walked towards the table and told Y/n that I ordered the drinks before sitting right down next to Diluc.

Y/n excused her self to the bathroom before gracefully walking away. She reminded me of a swan. So formal, polite and graceful... not to mention, she was quite pretty.

''So Mr Diluc.. I see a lady has finally caught your eye.'' I say while winking

''She is quite an interesting figure.''

''Why did you talk to her, I almost thought you hated women.''

''She's my type.'' he said so calm and with the most monotone face before.

I almost burst out laughing. Diluc...?! Interested in a girl?

I could tell Diluc knew what I was thinking from my expression so he spoke once again as if he had read my mind

''I don't like her, I just think she is formal, polite and graceful... not to mention, she was quite pretty.''

The exact words I had thought only moments before.

I rapidly replied ''You, Diluc Ragnvindr, could have any women you want, yet you've never even gone on a date and suddenly a lady interests you..'' I asked suspiciously.

He just shrugged and repeated that he didn't like her, just was interested to talk with her because she was her type. Maybe he was jealous I was with a girl? I mean I've been here many times before with different girls.

I decided to not ponder on it much as I saw Y/n walking back.

Y/n's POV

I murmured a sorry to both men before sitting down. Only a few seconds later a women with an apron walked towards us and dropped two drinks off before bowing down and hastily leaving. I looked at the drink, it was very pretty. Well not exactly the drink but the glass decorating the drink giving it an heavenly affect.

Just as I was about to take a sip from the non-alcohol drink - Diluc rapidly stood up and mentioned something about his break being over and waved goodbye before disappearing behind a door.

Reluctantly, I waved a small good-bye with my hand before turning my attention back to the drink.

''It's has quite a sharp and pungent smell... but the taste... mellow and sweet." I murmured almost astounded.

I heard a soft laugh from Kaeya as he proceeded to have a sip of the drink himself. I could tell he preferred alcohol to this by the way he bored-ly tapped on the side of the glass.

Choosing to make small talk, I asked Kaeya, "How's being a knight pulling through?"

He hummed softly. Was that too personal?

"It's alright I suppose." I guess not, though the answer was quite vague.

Taking a sip from my glass I waited in silence for Kaeya to initiate conversation.

''What about you Y/n? Do you work?" He asked, wiping the remnants of the juice from his lips.

''No.'' Simply said, I wasn't sure whether to state a reason so I resorted to just an answer, let alone if he would like a reason I wouldn't mind stating it.

''Is there a reason, if you don't mind me asking?'' oh no. I don't want to seem like an unemployed, initiated mop. Should I lie?

''Well... I'm living off my parents money for now."

Good save.
