Bible is fighting a battle to regain control of his mind.

He has followed the beautiful androgynous human to a secluded bedroom in the depths of the building. He flexed his recently acquired mind control skills, and everything seemed to be going seamlessly... until he started feeding on the human's neck and he suddenly "lost" his body.

Now he can't hear, or smell, or touch anything, as if he was just a spirit without any corporeal form. Right at the same time, a very ominous and oppressive feeling started enveloping him, as if something or someone is holding him down, squeezing his soul, destroying his will. He resists as hard as he can...

Until the force pinning him down slowly weakens and he awakes in the space he is now. His eyes are closed and he still cannot hear or smell anything. But the oppressing force is gone, so he begins calming down slowly. Bible starts gathering his strength in his fingertips and feet. The first impression he has is that the ground where he's lying down feels sticky like molasses.

He understands the battle is inside his mind. He has to make an effort to ignore it to win over it and release his limbs of this "prison". The more he concentrates in the stickiness around his naked body, the stronger it becomes, gluing him to the ground.

Bible thinks of the space further away from him. He's regaining part of his senses. He opens his eyes and everything is blurry, dirty grey,  a thick fog enveloping him, although  there are faint muffled sounds he cannot make out yet.

After a little while, one sound feels more important than others. He concentrates in that particular sound, picks it up like a thread, closing his eyes again. Not long afterwards, he starts discerning words:

- Bible!

He knows that word. It sounds familiar. Is that a name?

- Where are you? - says the same voice - Where are you? Bible!

Maybe... It must be his own name. Someone is calling him, is someone here in this space with him?

Now the landscape changes. There's no more fog and stickiness. Only sand and water in an infinite beach. Bible looks up and there's a solid blue sky with no clouds, left and right just sand and water and nothing else.

His body is on the sand, half buried. It feels so heavy, he cannot lift his arms or legs. The water is quite close, only a couple of meters away. Soft, monotonous waves crash evenly near his feet. If he moves, he will bury himself deeper in the sand, and he can sense - he knows - the tide is coming in.

Still, it's better that the sticky ground. And there's that voice again, it's easier to hear it in this beach:

- Bible! Bible! I can feel you now.

He closes his eyes and concentrates in slowing his breath, using the same strategy as before, not fighting with the sand, ignoring it. The repetitive sound of the crashing waves is helping him focus.

Sounds of steps on the sand are approaching. Bible opens his eyes and is momentarily blinded by the sun. Then the silhouette of a handsome man appears on top of him, worry and relief painted on his face.

- Bible! Let's get you out.

Bible feels fuzzy warm, his body is suddenly lighter. The man starts clearing up the sand over his body, slowly trying to dig him out. The process is long and it cannot be rushed. Bible starts moving his limbs tentatively and after a while, he can free his arms. He raises his upper body and the man wraps him in a tight embrace.

- Bible! Quickly... You need to wake up and tell me where you are - says the man, his mouth brushing Bible's temple.

The landscape transforms again. He's in near total darkness.
