Reagan was still in a coma and it had been weeks now. Hope was starting to run out. Brett stood in the hallway outside Reagan's hospital room and he paced back in forth wishing he could help her. He punched the wall as tears flooded his eyes. He felt like this was all his fault. If he had been there for Reagan and hadn't left her alone maybe he could've done something.

"Brett!" Gigi called from inside Reagan's room. Brett immediately ran into the room as fast as he could. His eyes immediately fixed on Reagan. "Brett.." Reagan stirred. Brett ran to her side and held her hand. "Reagan, honey can you hear me? It's okay. I'm right here." Brett said as he watched her as her eyes began to open slowly. "Brett.." she mumbled. Brett smiled as tears ran down his face.

Quickly her doctor walked in and checked on her. He determined she would be okay but she needed to be taken care of and not left alone. Brett agreed to take her to his house and watch over her until she fully recovered.
Everyone decided to leave so Brett could take Reagan home to rest and they could meet up later.

Brett helped Reagan get to his car and he started driving to his house. Reagan was still half asleep and wasn't able to understand much of what was happening. "Mmh.. w-where are we going?" Reagan asked as she rested her head against the window. "We're going to my house. You'll be staying with me for a little while okay?" Brett said calmly. "..W-why?" Reagan asked still half asleep. "The doctor recommended that someone take care of you so I volunteered to," Brett said as he smiled at her. "Oh o-okay." Reagan responded quietly as she drifted back to sleep.

They arrived at Brett's house and Brett gently carried sleeping Reagan inside. He laid her on the couch with plenty of blankets and pillows. He went into the kitchen and got her some soup and some tea. "Reagan~." Brett gently nudged her to wake her up. "Mmh..?" Reagan groaned and sat up. "I brought you some soup and tea!" Brett said with a gentle smile. He set it on the coffee table next to the couch and he sat in another chair next to the couch. "Thanks.." Reagan said as she rubbed her eyes and tried waking up. "Anything for you Reags." Brett said happily.

"How are you feeling?" Brett asked concerned. "Fine. My head hurts and I'm exhausted but fine." Reagan said as she ate. "I'm glad you're okay." Brett responded looking down. "Please talk to me if you need anything okay?" Brett said as he looked up realizing Reagan was crying. "Oh Reagan I'm sorry are you okay? Do you need anything?" Brett quickly went up to her and gently wrapped his arms around her.

"Brett.. I'm so sorry." Reagan sobbed in his arms. "Sh, sh, it's okay Reagan. It wasn't your fault! please don't blame yourself.." Brett said as he looked into her eyes. Reagan nodded and buried her face in his chest. He rubbed her back and calmed her down. Eventually, they pulled away and Brett sat on the couch next to her.

After a while of watching tv together, Brett felt his eyelids struggle to stay open. He glanced at Reagan to find that she was fast asleep. He quietly chuckled and his eyes closed as he drifted to sleep.

A few hours later his eyes fluttered open slowly as he felt something pulling on his arm. Confused, he looked down to see Reagan wrapping her arms around one of Brett's. "C-come here." She groaned still half asleep. "Oh-" Brett yelped surprised as Reagan pulled him down on the couch and pulled herself into his arms.

Red dusted Brett's cheeks as he smiled and wrapped his arms around Reagan. "B-brett.. I- I love you.." Reagan mumbled as she buried her head in the crook of Brett's neck. Brett's face was redder than a tomato at the words Reagan had mumbled to him.

The smile quickly faded from Brett's face as he realized she probably only said that because of her tired state. She probably has no feelings left for Brett now. Brett blinked back tears at the thoughts and he smiled and enjoyed the time he had with her.

Morning came and Brett awoke to see Reagan laying in his arms. He smiled and gently got up from underneath Reagan. She continued to sleep peacefully on the couch as Brett made his way to the kitchen. He grabbed a pan and laid it on the stove.

He grabbed some eggs and cracked them, placing them in the hot pan. He grabbed another pan and put bacon in it. While he watched the eggs and bacon he mixed pancake batter in a bowl.

A little while later Reagan awoke to the smell of fresh pancakes. She sat up and looked around noticing Brett wasn't in the living room with her and judging by the smell, assumed he was in the kitchen. She slowly stood up and felt through her hair, becoming annoyed with its unkept state.

She walked into the kitchen to see Brett placing plates with pancakes, eggs, and bacon on the small, round kitchen table. He looked up and smiled at Reagan. "Good morning." He said sweetly. "How'd you sleep?" He asked as she sat at the table. "Good." she said as she watched Brett grab a cup of coffee off of his coffee maker and set it down in front of her. "Oh thank you." She said as she gave him a small smile.

'You're so cute when you're sleepy..' Brett thought as he sat down across from her. "so uh do you mind if I use your shower after we're done?" Reagan asked shyly. "Oh sure!" Brett said as he continued eating. "What did you dream about?" Brett asked as he rested his cheek on his hand. "Oh uh.." Reagan's face lit up as she thought about the dream she had.

~Reagan's dream~
Her and Brett were walking at the park when they stopped to sit on a bench under a pretty tree. "This is.. really pretty." Reagan said as she admired the environment. "Not as pretty as you~." Brett said as he grabbed Reagan's hand and looked into her eyes.

She giggled and blushed. "Pfft.." Reagan laughed but stopped as Brett pulled her closer. His hands wrapped around her waist with her face now closer to his. She wrapped her arms around his neck and they leaned into a slow, passionate kiss. they pulled away for air and Reagan leaned her head on Brett's chest.

"Brett.. I love you~." Reagan said as she nuzzled her face in the crook of his neck. "I love you too Reags~." He replied as he hugged her.

~Reality~

"Oh uh.. just us.. hanging out.." she lied. "Aw, you dreamed about me!" He gushed. "Heh yeah.." she chuckled awkwardly.  'Is that why she told me she loved me last night..?" Brett wondered. They finished up breakfast and as Reagan was about to shower she realized a problem.

"Oh uh, Brett.. I don't have any extra clothes.." she said embarrassed. "Oh right.. I'll have to run to your place later to get some, you can borrow some of my clothes for now okay?" He said as he walked to his room to get some clothes. "Alright." She agreed as she nodded.

Quickly Brett came back with some clothes for her and she thanked him and went to shower.  Brett sat on the couch and watched tv as he waited for her to finish her shower. He smiled hoping that he was helping her. But deep down he worried that no matter how hard he tried he wasn't doing enough to help Reagan.

A few minutes later Reagan walked out of the bathroom and woke Brett out of his thoughts. He blushed as he looked at Reagan with her hair down and as she rubbed a towel against it to dry it off a bit. "So what now?" She asked. "What do you mean?" Brett asked confused as he watched her sit on the couch next to him. "Well I guess I'm just not sure where to go in my life from here.." Reagan paused, "I have a lot to fix.. I don't know how to do it.." she admitted looking down.

"Well, that's okay. You don't have to know. We'll figure it out, together." Brett gave an empathetic smile as he laid a hand on her shoulder. "Thank you Brett.. thank you for being in my life." Reagan said as tears formed in her eyes.
