Nobody's P.O.V
She closed her eyes and the heart monitor went flat.
"NOOOOO!" Percy screamed
Hazel ran and threw herself into franks arms. Annabeth fell to her knees sobbing. Piper was crying into Jason and he had silent tears running down his cheeks. And Nico? He had walked out of the infirmary tears running down his face too. But he knew something the others didn't.
Lindsey wasn't dead. At least not yet anyway.
'Hazel must've been too consumed by grief to realize.' He thought. 'She has to fight this.' No matter what feelings Nico had for Percy, he knew what it was like to have someone you love a lot die.
And he wouldn't wish that pain on the cruelest person on earth.
He had to save her.
So he left the others to grieve themselfs. everyone just thought he left out of sadness, after all, he was the one to save her. or try to.
Percys pov
She's gone.
Away.
No longer.
I won't see her again all because...
She's dead.
And I'm alone.
How will I tell her father?
Or mom?
What about Lucas?
How will I tell them their daughter/sister is...
Dead?
Because she's dead.
She's gone.
She's no more.
Could I have saved her?
No, probably not.
But I could have tried.
Maybe gotten her here faster.
But it's too late now, she's dead, gone, no more.
And I wasn't there to be with her.
The Apollo kids pulled a blanket over her small face, and started shutting down machines that she was hooked up too.
Lindsey, I'm so sorry.
"I love you little sis." I whispered with silent tears streaming down my face, at my words hazel started crying again.
Just as they were about to turn the heart monitor off there was one noise that made everyone look up.
'Beep.'
