Day 2 - Awkwardness

Fourth opened the door to find Gemini strolling in front with his backpack handing on his shoulder.

"Gem?" Fourth asked confused. "What are you doing here in the morning?"

"Ummm... I thought I'll walk you to university?"

"Huh?" Fourth was still confused.

Gemini hesitated once before walking close to Fourth. "Isn't it what boyfriends should do?" He asked looking into his eyes.

"..." Fourth gaped at him unable to process anything.

"Fourth?"

"Huh? Uh... Y-yeah... L-let's go." He said and started walking out.

"But your bag?" Gemini asked.

Fourth looked back at him startled. "Yes... I forgot. I'll get it." Fourth ran away into the house and ran back outside with his bag within thirty seconds.

"We have time. Relax. I just came a bit early. I should have called you."

"No it's ok. I ran because I did not want to make you wait. Shouldn't I be considerate of you?" Fourth asked.

Both of them smiled awkwardly at each other and looked away. Gemini scratched his head while Fourth's ears were red.

"Ummm... Shall we go?" Gemini asked.

Fourth nodded and they walked along, without speaking a word more, throughout the way, occasionally looking at each other and immediately turning away whenever the eyes meet.

"Thank god the queue is less." Fourth said looking at the cafeteria queue.

"You go to the table. I'll bring the food." Gemini said pressing his lips.

"..." Fourth looked at him puzzled.

Gemini just nodded and looked at him in the eyes when Fourth recalled the morning and immediately turned. "I... Yeah... I'll look for a table." He ran away.

Gemini smirked and started walking towards the queue when Fourth came back.

"What happened?" Gemini asked.

"Give me your bag." He said extending his hand.

Gemini smiled briefly and looked at him before giving him the bag. Fourth looked everywhere but at him. "I'll go reserve a table." He ran away again and Gemini couldn't help but chuckle.

Gemini returned to the table with two plates in his hand.

Fourth looked at the plate and then at Gemini gaping.

"You... brought my favorites for me?" Fourth asked a bit flustered.

"We have been having meals together for so long. I know what you like so..."

"Ahem... Yeah... Ummm... Thanks." He smiled briefly and started having his food in silence stuffing his mouth as much as possible. All he hoped was for the awkward meal to end since he was clueless as to how to react.

In the evening when they were walking back Fourth turned to look at Gemini. "I... Will walk you home now."

"Huh?"

"You picked me up in the morning. So let me drop you back home?" Fourth said nervously.

Gemini nodded and smiled briefly. "Sounds fair."

They walked awkwardly in silence till they reached Gemini's place.

"So... Ummm... I'll text you later?" Gemini said.

"What for?" Fourth asked immediately without thinking.

"N-nothing. Then I'll see you tomorrow." Gemini said and waved Fourth bye and immediately got into the house flustered.

"Why the hell did I speak before thinking? We are dating so he can text me right?" Fourth mumbled while walking back to his house which was not farther than four blocks from Gemini's home.

Awkward part is there was never a need for anyone of them to walk each other home before.
