Day 3 - Jealousy

"GEM!!!" Nook ran into the class towards Gemini's table. Both Gemini and Fourth looked up at her confused.

Everybody knew Nook had a huge crush on Gemini since high school and she was openly pursuing him. Though Gemini thought of her to be clingy and annoying and had no interest in dating her whatsoever. But there was only one issue that he did not know how to be rude.

"HOW ARE YOU GEM? DID YOU MISS ME?" she asked in such a high pitched voice that Fourth had to close his ears once.

"Were you not in class yesterday?" Gemini asked clueless.

"WHAT? DON'T YOU KNOW I WAS ON LEAVE SINCE A WEEK?" she asked with a pout.

"Take a hint!" Fourth said with a grimace. Gemini snickered but controlled so that Nook was not offended.

Nook made a face at him and turned to Gemini. "Gemini, can I borrow your book for copying the notes?" She asked immediately keeping a hind on top of Gemini.

Fourth did not know why he felt the annoyance but he snapped his book on the table loudly that made Nook to take back her hand scared. "Sorry... The book slipped from my hand." Fourth said.

Gemini looked at Fourth who was used to tease him whenever Nook used to annoy him. But today it seems he is more annoyed. "Ummm... Nook, I will lend you my notes after the class." Gemini said with a smile.

"Did you not decide to lend it me?" Fourth glared at Gemini.

"Huh?" Gemini asked puzzled.

Fourth turned to Nook. "Sorry, you are in queue." He said.

Nook stared at Fourth for a while before stomping her feet and walking away.

Gemini laughed.

"What?" Fourth glared at him now.

"You were behaving like a jealous girlfriend." Gemini said still laughing.

Fourth slammed the book again on the table loudly making Gemini stop and look at him surprised.

Fourth stared at him and then walked out of the class without another word.

"What happened to him?" Gemini mumbled.

"Maybe he wasn't behaving like a jealous girlfriend... But a jealous boyfriend?" Mark said from behind with a smirk on his face.

Gemini realized what had happened and immediately face palmed realizing his mistake.

After ignoring him for all the first half when Fourth finally decided to show up at cafeteria and have lunch with Gemini. He was ignoring him because he wasn't sure why he behaved that way. But he thought his behavior was out of line and out of embarrassment, he was avoiding Gemini.

When he reached cafeteria, he saw Gemini waving at him. He waved back with a brief smile and walked to him.

But in between someone held his hand and he turned to look at the person who stopped him.

"Sound!" Fourth exclaimed and immediately hugged him.

"How have you been?" Sound asked hugging him back.

Gemini who was looking at him from afar was taking aback with the scene in front of him.

Sound is their classmate. But he is Gemini's arch enemy. Whereas Sound and Fourth are very close because of same coaching classes they attended for the entire school duration. Gemini being one of the scholar students never had the need for any extra coaching.

Sound was away for a term because of his father's transfer and seems to have returned just now.

Gemini waited for an entire duration in which he was in the food queue for Fourth to come and stand beside him and talk to him. But Fourth was too busy talking to Sound.

"Yes please?" The server asked Gen=mini for his order.

"Nothing." Gemini left the queue and walked to where Fourth was standing.

"Fourth." Gemini said and immediately stood between the two of them.

"Huh? Gem sorry, did you buy food already?" Fourth asked when Gemini kept glaring at Sound and vice versa.

"I don't want to eat here anymore. Let's go somewhere outside." Geminin said and turned to Fourth.

Even before Fourth could reply, he pulled him and walked away.

"Gem... GEM!" Fourth pulled out his hand when Gemini did not stop walking. "What are you doing?"

"What? I waited for you since whole morning and then when you finally showed up, you were not even talking to me. You were busy with that FRIEND of yours."

Fourth looked at him for a while and then laughed.

"What?" Gemini asked agitated.

"You sound like you are jealous."

"..."

Fourth stopped laughing when he saw Gemini's blank face staring at him realizing the recap of the morning scene.

"Ummm... I mean..." Fourth mumbled.

"We should... We should go and eat something. I am hungry." Gemini said embarrassed.

"I agree. Let's go." Fourth said and pointed towards the gate.

Both of them looked at each other on the way and turned away flustered. The only difference was that now their eye contact lasted for more than 5 seconds before they decided to look away hiding the smile that was forming on each of their lips.
