Chapter 19.

Annabella woke up in a strange cave and moved her eyes slightish and she saw Xai still passed out. She made her way to Xai tapping him multiple times waiting for him to wake up. After 2 hours of waiting someone came down with a tray of food and water, they put it down near the door and headed right back out. The masked figure didn't stay for long. Annabella got the trey and ate half of the food that was there, she was going to give the other half to Xai whenever he woke up. Another 3 hours later Xai finally woke up, he was sweating and started crying, he knew what was happening and sobbed very loudly in the corner, he was so upset he started hitting himself in the head, Annabella noticed this and grabbed his hands.

"What are you doing?!"

"I-..." he didn't answer after that. He had a cold expression on his face, as if all the emotions were wiped right off. The slightest touch made him jump and push away, he hated being touched that's for certainty.

Annabella got up and tried to look for a escape, she couldn't find one at all she searched for a spotless amount of hours. She heard weird sounds and looked at Xai who was already making his escape, Annabella followed after him and they both got out of there.

"Hey why didn't you tell me you found a way out?"

"...."

There was no response from Xai at all, he just stayed silent and continued walking away from the horrible nightmare they got drugged into. Annabella tapped Xai on the shoulder to get his attention and then the look on Xai's face was revealed, it was the face of horror and fear, he ran off.

Annabella thought she should have stopped him when he ran on his own but she didn't, instead she ran after him even knowing he was running away from her. She followed him for awhile until they reached the ruins.
