When she got home that day, her parents were sitting silently at the dinner table. Both on their phone like they were ignoring each other. At the sound of the door closing, her mom looked up to greet her and learn about her interview. As she came closer you could already feel the judgement in the air and see her despondent eyes looking straight at her knee.

-Did that happen before or after?

-Before. she answered as she looked at her feet.

Mouka wasn't the type of girl to lie to her mother, because she knew there was no way of getting out of it.

Her mom said nothing. She just pointed at the girl's bedroom door, still looking at her bloody jeans knee. The girl walked very slowly to her room, until she felt hands pushing her into the room, making her fall on the floor. As she turned around all she could see was her mother closing the door, then a quietude filled the house.

About an hour later, she heard a hue breaking noise as if a pile of plates shattered. The following sounds were just a bunch of meaningless screams from her parents. All she wanted to do was leave her room and go take a shower, nevertheless if she did it would only go against her, so she stayed calmly in her room waiting for the storm to pass. They kept fighting, it never stopped. After two hours of loud screaming and useless arguments, she felt the urge to take the crystal out of her pocket. That purple shinning light just had such a strong effect on her mind, like it was the feeling of home she had been missing for years now. She just held it close to her heart, the love filling her body up and fell asleep to the sweet melody of comfort.
