After my shower, Nick didn't say a word to me. He would glance at me now and then but that was about it. Anytime I looked at him, he immediately looked away. I wish he would just tell me what his issue is. Either way, I have other things to worry about. Like how I'm gonna face Rylie tomorrow and what's going to happen with us.
~Rylie's POV~
I had a really weird dream that I actually kissed him and we almost got to do it. Wishful thinking. Not like it'll ever happen. I'm not sure how to feel now that I'm fully aware of my feelings for him. I smile to myself while I climb out of bed. Nonetheless, I got ready for school and made my way to my car, got in it, and drove to school. I walked to my locker and that's when I saw him. Hunter. He looks cute today. Black hoodie and grey sweatpants. His hair is slightly messy. Just then, he looked at me. I instantly felt better. His cheeks turned bright red and the redness spread to the tips of his ears. Why's is he so red? It's cute. I smile and walk my way over to him but he quickly looks away. That was weird.
"Good morning Hunter," I lean against the lockers next to him yet he still won't look me in the eye. Kind of annoying. Is something on my face?
"G-good morning R-Rylie," his cheeks flushed again and he finishes grabbing all his things. Why is he so nervous?
"Are you okay?" I brush a strand of hair out of his face and his cheeks turn a deep red. Is he sick? I carefully grab his arm and pull him to the bathroom, and into a stall with me. He looks even more nervous.
"Look at me Hunter," he turns his head towards me but still won't look. What's with this attitude? I place my hand on his forehead and push his hair up to feel if he's hot. Now he looks at me. God damn, he's adorable. His cheeks are still red and he looks startled but relaxed at the same time. I'd kiss him but I'd rather not scare him. He doesn't have a fever. Well, at least not a high one. I didn't notice I was leaning closer to him till he turned his head away from me. Exposing a small bruise on his neck that looked oddly similar to a hickie.
"Hunter. What the hell happened to your neck?" he quickly puts his hand over the mark and looks at me with a confused expression.
"What?" he asks while scooting back slightly. His face turned pale almost instantly.
"Did that stupid dog do it? Did he hurt you?" I take his hand off the mark and hold it to his side.
"No, he didn't," his cheeks flush again and he looks away. Bullshit. I walk out of the stall and the bathroom. Once I found Nick, I walked to him, shoving him against the locker.
"What the fuck man?!" he glares at me and shoves me back.
"I should be asking you that. What the hell did you do to Hunter?" I grip his collar and shove him against the locker once again. Nick just glares at me. Then his expression changes into a smirk.
"Oh, you mean the hickie is that what you're mad about? Yeah, that was me. We had a great time yesterday," Nick lets out a small chuckle as a crowd started forming around us. I lifted my fist but before I could punch him, Hunter made his way through the crowd and pulled me off Nick. The crowd whined in annoyance and started to disperse. Nick straightened out his shirt and locked eyes with Hunter before glaring at me once again.
"Outside, both of you," Hunter says through grit teeth before walking out of the school. Nick and I are following closely. What the hell is going on. And I was in such a good mood this morning.
~Hunter POV~
"Okay, both of you sit down and shut up," I demanded once I get them to the back of the school. They each glare at each other before sitting down. Nick leans back against the wall and Rylie rolls his eyes.
"Rylie, you were the one who gave me the mark. I'm not sure what Nick said but he didn't do anything," Nick sits up and looks as if he was about to protest but Rylie just sits there. Shocked. His cheeks flushed a bright red.
"W-wait, so it wasn't a dream?" Rylie moves to his feet and moves the hoodie off the mark.
"And this is mine?" he smiles and hugs me tightly. Nick clicks his tongue in annoyance.
"I-I mean yes it's yours," Rylie breaks the hug and plants a kiss on my lips, causing my cheeks to burn again. I shove him away and quickly look away.
"That's not the issue here, what the hell is wrong with both of you?" I ask while glaring at both of them. Rylie pouts and sits down again.
"You guys are acting like kids when you have to share your toy, I'm not a toy guys. I don't belong to either one of you," they both look down at the ground. Guilt taking control of their expressions. I sigh.
"Okay, guys, be honest here. What are your feelings for me?" I cross my arms and squat down in front of them. Nick is the first to look at me, and Rylie was a few seconds later.
"I like you," they both say at the same time then shoot each other a death glare. I can't help but laugh which stops their glare and they look at me, slight smiles forming on their lips.
"Well, then let's try something shall we?" they both scoot closer to me.
"Since you both like me, I want to make this fair. So you each get two weeks to prove it to me and try to get me to like one of you back," they both instantly glare at one another.
"Challenge accepted," they both say in sync.
