Unexpected Love

Chase before the paw patrol

It was a sunny Monday morning and outside a wooden cabin in the woods there was a very young German shepherded named Chase. He was cutting logs so he could earn some money for his parents.

Chase's P.O.V 

I better finish chopping this wood and get to town to sell it before my mom and dad get up or I am going to get it again for sure; because mom and dad get pretty mad when I don't get back from town at a certain time. I still have some wounds that need healing from the other day, when I did not make enough money in town because I didn't cut up enough wood for every shop.   My mom and dad were so mad and when they get that way there is no way to stop them. Well 65 logs should be enough for the shops today. I better tie up the wood and get to town to start the day. I have about 2 hour's to get the wood sold and make it home. Man I hope I can do it in time or I am in a world of hurt again! 

Chase has just entered town and his first stop is Martin's workshop, then he goes down the street to Sam's lumber yard and finally to the local market.

Chase's P.O.V

 "Hey Martin! How is the shop going today?" It is going good Chase, is that my wood delivery? asked Martin. Yes it is all here! Here are your 22 logs.  Thanks a lot Chase, here is the money I promised said Martin. Glad that he finished earlier than expected, he said " thanks, well I better get going. I have a few more stops to make. Have a nice day Martin.

So after Martins he went and sold the rest of the logs to the other stores and they paid him and thanked him. Chase made a total of 35 dollars.   He noticed that he has been gone for more than 2 hour's so he rushed home hoping his mom and dad were not awake yet.

I just got home; I am 27 minutes later then I am supposed to be. I really hope mom and dad are not awake or I am in a world of pain.  I walked inside the house and I heard my mom Suzan say "Where have you been?" so I said,  mom I was in town selling the wood you and dad make me chop up every day. Looking angry, my mom exclaimed:  well how much did you make? Anxiously I said, well I made about 35 dollars.  I will take that even though you should have made more then that, wait till your dad hears about this you are going to be punished for not making enough money replied Suzan. Feeling defeated, I replied, " but mom it was not my fault! That is all they paid me today" I heard my dad Lucas start to get the belt again! Man, I hate that belt. Then my dad took me in the other room and I got a pretty good lashing that left me bleeding pretty bad.  Then and there I swore I was going to run away so that night I grabbed the only possessions I really cared for and that was a chain neckless with a blue gem on it.  I just ran from the house and never looked back. I must have been living in the wild for a couple days when I just collapsed by a bush from lack of food, then I heard a rustle from the bushes I got scared and started to cry.

Ryder's P.O.V

I am here in adventure city with my dad Byron. We were having lunch when I heard crying! Looking around, I told my dad I will be right back. I think I hear something over in those bushes I am going to go check it out. Please be careful replied Byron.  I walked over to the bushes and I saw a very weak German Shepheard. Are you alright little pup?" Back away! Please don't hurt me! said the pup. Hey, don't worry I am not going to hurt you I came to see if you were ok.  I can see you are not okay at all; look at all of your wounds. If you come here, I will take you to my dad and we will get you to a vet to get those wounds looked at and maybe some food in you.  Ok?  It hurts so much to move right now but my name is Chase said the pup well Chase I will come pick you up then.

So Ryder went over to Chase and picked him up and he took him to his dad and they went and took Chase straight to the vet to get checked out

Chase's P.O.V

So why are you helping me Ryder? Well I can't just sit by and let a pup that is hurt stay hurt, that is just wrong!  Can you tell me what happened to you Chase so I can see if I can help you, replied Ryder. Trusting Ryder, I answered him" I ran away from my mom and dad because I was tired of them beating me with the belt" So your parents did all this to you Chase? but why asked Ryder Not really knowing the answer, I replied "well, whatever I did it did not please them" How old are you Chase asked Ryder: 6 months old Ryder.

So Chase told Ryder everything while the vet treated his wounds and when Chase was finished his story Ryder was in tear's

Ryder's P.O.V

That is just plain wrong and unforgivable for your parents to do that to you.  That is abuse and that is illegal. Don't worry Chase, I will not let that go on ever again! How would you like to come live with me? I have another pup just about the same age as you so you will have a friend and I will take very good care of you I promise you that.  Really Ryder? I can come home with you! asked Chase.  Yes of course you can, you deserve a better family.

So after the vet finished cleaning the wounds Ryder picked Chase up and he took him to his new home where the other pup and his parents were waiting for them to get home.

Marshall's P.O.V

I was just playing in the front yard and I went up to my mom and dad and asked them when Ryder was getting back but they did not know.   I heard them pull in the driveway, so I ran as fast as I could to meet them. Ryder your home! I missed you. I missed you too Marshall, sorry I took so long but I have someone I want you to meet: Marshall this is Chase he is going to live here with us now, so be nice to him. He has been through a lot said Ryder.  Where is he? I want to meet him. He is in the backseat just let me open the door replied Ryder so I saw Ryder open the door and I waited till Chase got out of the car and I walked up to him. Hi Chase my name is Marshall very nice to meet you.  Nice to meet you too said Chase you want to play tug-o-war with me sure said Chase.

So for awhile Chase and Marshall were playing games together and Chase was smiling and having fun for once he can finally live a real life and have a family that will care for him
