Finally

I was running, in a hall of chambers. A very long hall, but there was a door far far away... A white one. A beautiful one. I reached for it, out stretched my hand. Leaning towards it, yearning for it, needing it. I touched the golden knob and turned. And there I was, at a funeral. Wearing a black dress. I looked at the person's name.
Gray Fullbuster.

Juvia woke up with a fright, sweating on her bed. What the heck was that? She touched the sides of her head, rubbing it. She then realized, she was in her hospital bed. Not in Gray's arms, not in her bedroom, not in the comfort of her mother, but her hospital bed. Something she didn't like, the smell of fresh Lysol and flesh, sick people, technology. A nurse walked into her room, "Is there anything you need?"
Juvia nodded, "Bring me a wheelchair. I'm visiting my friend again." She nodded and closed the door, getting the wheelchair. Juvia just sat there, looking out the window. A scenery of skyscrapers and buildings. This, was the city. The city she lived in since she was born. The city where she met her first love. And this, was the hospital where she was born. Also, the place where she lost her memory.

The nurse walked in, rolling the wheelchair through the door way. "Thank you." Juvia said, and the nurse just nodded. She helped Juvia into the chair, and let her out. The nurse then left for another patient and Juvia rolled her way to the ER room.

She opened the door.

"Gray?"

He was just sitting there. Still. Lifeless.

Gray opened his eyes, and turned to Juvia. "... Juvia?" Her eyes wided with tears and she stood up, without anything to support her. She ran to him, falling into his arms, crying.
"I was so scared... Idiot.."
He smiled and stroked her hair, "I won't die on you."
She turned to him. "You better not. I'd be lonely."
Gray's smile disappeared, his face was serious. He held her wrist.

"Do you... Like me?"

Juvia shook her head, her eyes tearing, "No..."
"Good."
"Idiot! I love you!"
Juvia was crying softly, tears pouring down. Gray's face was shocked, almost speechless. "You shouldn't-"
"Shut up!" She tried to hit him, he stopped her.
"Juvia.."
"Gray you don't understand!"
"Yes I do!"

Juvia stopped. "Do you really?" Gray nodded.
Juvia gulped, "Fine then. I'll go now." She sat in her wheelchair, rolling out.
"Juvia-" he reached out, but bones cracked. They both stopped.
"Gray-" she turned around to see him bleeding. "GRAY!"

The beeping sounds of machines. The suspenseful silence of doctors. The blood on the ground. This, this is the true form of a hospital. Juvia clenched her wrists, she didn't want him to die. She didn't want to see another funeral, again.

Juvia was discharged the next day, she healed. "Mom."
Her mom turned around, "Yes?"
"Let's go to Gray's house."
"Why?"
"I have business over there."
Her mom nodded, not letting any personal emotions form, "Yes sweetie."

Juvia knocked on the door. No answer. She knocked again.
"Hold on, I'm coming!!" Yelled a little girl, probably a younger sister.
The door opened, a a long haired raven girl had a waffle in her mouth.
She smiled, "JUVIA!!!" She jumped into her arms, "Eh...?"
The girl smiled, "I'm Violet, Gray's sister."
Juvia smiled a little bit, "Is it okay... If I visit Gray's room for a moment?" Violet nodded.

Juvia walked in the hall, there was a white door at the end of the hall.

I was running, in a hall of chambers. A very long hall, but there was a door far far away... A white one. A beautiful one.

She reached her hand for the golden knob.

I reached for it, out stretched my hand. Leaning towards it, yearning for it, needing it. I touched the golden knob and turned.

She turned it, opening it.

I touched the golden knob and turned.

There it was, his room. With his smell, his things. She looked around. There lied a teddy bear, when she gave to him in Kindergarten. During Valentine's Day. How nostalgic. She sat on his bed, touching the bear's ears. It's soft... She turned the bear around, it had a slit on the back. She put her hand in, and took the piece of paper out. She carefully unraveled it.

Dear Gray,
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you like the gift I gave you, I asked my mommy for it, it was $5! When you read this note, I want you to know that I love you very much! It's the kind of love where I want to marry you. I hope you'll keep this teddy bear forever and ever!
Love, Juvia.

Tears blurred her vision, she held the paper close, not trying to ruin it.
"I'm... Sorry."
She wiped the waterworks, then seeing a pink marker catch her eye. She looked at the bottom of the paper.

Juvia, let's promise that we'll marry each other in the future.

It was scratched out, but still legible. A small smile formed, a voice, barely a whisper, "I promise." She put the paper in the bear, placing it where it once was, on his bed.

A day later, she went back to the hospital, carrying another teddy bear. "I'd like to see Gray Fullbuster." She said, the nurse nodded. Juvia walked into the hallway, and opened the door.
He was as still as ever, but alive.
Gray turned to Juvia. "Hey." Juvia closed the door, quietly.
"I brought you a gift," she said, her back turned to him.
He smiled as she turned to him, "Another teddy bear?"
She nodded, and handed it to him.
He turned the bear around, grabbing the paper that was in its slit.
He opened it carefully, delicately.

Let's promise to marry each other in the future.

That was all. He smiled at her, "I do."
Her tears started to pour down. He wiped them, "Don't cry."
"I'm sorry..." Then there, he gave her a kiss on her forehead.
"Juvia... Let's go out."
She nodded, and hugged him, "Idiot."
