Alex's POV

It's been a week since me and Vada became official. Today was the day we were going back to school. We were both nervous as fuck and wanted nothing more but to just stay home and cuddle but we couldn't fall this far behind. I haven't heard from my dad since he beat me up. I sneaked home a few times grabbing some things and getting out as soon as possible again. I now had everything at Vada's house and basically moved into the guest room.

''You guys ready?''

Vada's mom asked us both as she was standing at the door waiting for us. She was gonna bring us to school. We both nodded and headed outside to her car. The car ride was silent. Vada had her head on my shoulder and my arm was around her waist. Her parents knew about us and were very happy we both found each other.

When we got to school we both got out and looked at the school. All memories came flooding back to me and I started to panic. I looked over at Vada and noticed her in the same state as me. Her mom got out of the car and hugged us both.

''You're gonna be okay sweeties. It won't happen again.''

I didn't believe her. Of course it would happen again, this America for fuck sakes. Vada seemed to believe her though cause she started to calm down. I took her hand in mine and squeezed it tightly assuring her I was right there with her. Her mom went back in the car and drove off as me and Vada headed inside.

We had first period together which was a huge relief to both of us. We headed in the classroom for biology and sat next to each other. The teacher greeted us happily. I just gave him a small nod and sat down. As the class started I saw Vada getting uncomfortable, I put my hand on her thigh and made her look at me. I gave her the 'are you okay' look and she just nodded. I didn't believer her tho.

Class went by way too slow and I didn't pay any attention at all. I was just worried about Vada the whole time. This was the classroom she was in right before it happened. As the bell rang signalling that it was time for the next class I took Vada by her hand and dragged her out of the classroom as fast as I could.

''Wanna ditch the next class and get high instead?''

I saw her smirk as I offered and she happily nodded her head. We went to the parking lot and sat behind a car as I took out my weed. She took it out of my hands eagerly and I just laughed at her actions. I gave her my lighter. She lit the blunt and took a long drag before handing it over to me. I gladly took it and mirrored her actions. We then played a game who could hold in the smoke the longest. Vada went first and I timed her with my phone. She came to 8.43 seconds before she coughed uncontrollably. I laughed and took the blunt from her knowing I could get a better time. She timed me and I came to 11.27 seconds before I had to cough but not as much as Vada. She looked at me in shock and I just shrugged secretly feeling proud that I won.

We soon were high out of our asses as we didn't just stop at one blunt. We went back in the school and saw Nick coming over to us.

''Heyyyyy Nickkyyyyy''

I heard Vada say and I started to laugh. I don't know why but it was so funny when she said that.

Nick looked at us confused before he started to smell Vada's hand.

''Are you guys high-''

''Whatttt nooo of course not.''

I tried to convince him. Of course he didn't believe me.

''Are you out of your mind, you could get suspended!''

Vada shushed him and I just stood there staring into nothingness as I zoned out completely. Apparently Vada was still talking to a very angry Nick but I didn't hear shit anymore. Vada suddenly took my hand and dragged me away. We were gonna go to our next class which we had together again. The only classes we didn't have together were science and English but since we skipped one of those already we had class together again.

We were giggling uncontrollably in class and the teacher started to get annoyed as fuck. She didn't suspect us from being high though, she just thought we were being that annoying couple with inside jokes.

School was over and me and Vada already weren't high anymore. I already missed it but since her mom was picking us up we couldn't get high again. We went to the parking lot and looked for her mom's car but didn't see it anywhere. Vada went and called her mom as I gave her some privacy and sat on the side walk. She came up to me and sat next to me.

''Mom is stuck in traffic so it can take a bit til she gets here.''

I nodded and rested my head on her lap as I went to lay down. She played with my hair for a bit and gave me soft kisses from time to time.

After a while of that some random guy came up to us.

''Hey freak. You don't deserve a god damn relationship!'

He yelled as he dragged me up by my shirt. Vada tried to stop him but some of his friends were behind us keeping her down.

''DON'T FUCKING TOUCH HIM!''

she tried to scream as he went in for a right hook. He didn't listen to her of course and hit me right on my jaw with his fist. My jaw started burning and I got so tired of being beaten up. I was tired of letting them do it to me. To my surprise I was actually stronger than him. I got out of his grip and kicked him hard in the balls. When he fell down I made sure to kick in his head to knock him out. I gave a death glare to their friends who were holding my girlfriend down. I walked up to them and went to punch but they already ran away leaving their unconscious friend behind. Vada got up and hugged me tight.

''Mi querida it's okay. They won't hurt you, I got you.''

I said trying to calm her down. She got out of the hug to look at my face. My jaw was red and hurt like hell but I wasn't gonna show her that.''

''Oh god, I'm so so sorry mi amor, I tried to get over to you but I couldn't, I should've done more, I'm so sorry-''

''-Stop V, you couldn't do anything, it's okay my dear. I promise I'm okay.''

She cupped my face and kissed me softly. Her phone vibrated telling her she got a notification. She stopped kissing me and rested her head on my shoulder grabbing her phone and reading it. Her mom texted she was outside the parking lot waiting for us. We headed to her car and got in. Her mom didn't notice my jaw so we didn't say anything either.

When we got home we went to Vada's room. We sat down on her bed looking for a movie on her laptop. We eventually put on Spiderman far from home and I rested my head against the headboard. Vada rested her head on my chest and we sat in silence for a while. I didn't pay attention to the movie, I just stroked Vada's hair and stared at her.

''Stop staring at me you creep''

I laughed softly and gave her a kiss on her head.

''Never, you're too beautiful not to stare at.''

She chuckled and looked over her shoulder to look at me. She kissed me softly and rested her head against mine, both our eyes still closed.

''I love you Alex Johnson.''

I opened my eyes to be met by beautiful brown orbs staring back at me.

''I love you too Vada Cavell.''

She kissed me again and this time it felt different, it was full of love. God I really did love her, so fucking much. She was my everything, my whole world.

She rested her head back on my chest and kept watching the movie. I just fell asleep.
