the next morning scarlett woke up to her phone ringing.
"hello?" she answers in a groggy voice.
"please tell me you're not still asleep." the other voice says
"obviously not if i'm talking to you." scarlett says while sitting up.
"ok miss sassy, let me rephrase that. are you up and ready?"
"no mom, i'm not"
"and why the hell not!?"
"look, i slept over at a friends house last night and i may have kinda forgot about our shopping trip."
"yeah? do i know this friend?" scarlett's mom says, completely throwing the shopping situation to the side.
"no you don't. but that doesn't matter. just give me about 40 minutes and i'll meet you at your house."
"okay.. but best believe i will be asking you about this friend of yours so come prepared."
and with that, she hung up.
scarlett climbs out of bed and starts gathering her clothes when she starts to hear sage moving around in the bed.
"where are you going?" sage asks while rubbing her eyes
"i'm sorry baby. i planned to hang out with my mom today but kind of forgot about it last night." scarlett let's out a chuckle. "i hate to leave you like this."
"no it's fine." she waves a dismissive hand. "go hangout with your mom and i'll go hangout with lizzie. i haven't really spent much time with her since i've been here." she laughs
"okay, be safe and have fun." scarlett says while kissing her head."
"you too."

sage had decided to call elizabeth and asked if she wanted to hangout. lizzie excepted it immediately claiming that she's been waiting for that call since the moment sage arrived in LA.
so now here they are. in the living room drinking tea while talking about their life recently.
"so how's your relationship with scar going?" lizzie asks as she sips her tea.
"i slept with her last night." sage says nonchalantly.
lizzie's eyes were so wide they looked like they would pop out of her head at any moment.
"wow, straight forward i see." she says after she swallowing the tea that was in her mouth.
"i'm sorry, it's just.. it was SO GOOD lizzie!" sage stresses. "she really knows how to use that tongue of hers. i mean-"
"OKAYYY!!" lizzie all but yells. "i do not need details." she adds
sage laughs. "ok enough about me. do you have your eyes on anyone special?" she asks, wiggling her eyebrows.
lizzie lost her boyfriend of 5 years to a car crash with a drunk driver. lizzie loved him with everything in her and everyone they knew could tell you that they were soulmates. so when he died you can imagine the toll it took on lizzie. since his death, she hasn't been back in the dating game.
"actually there is this guy. i met him in the bar a few weeks ago and we hit it off pretty good. we exchanged numbers and went out to lunch twice and i think he's a really good guy." she finishes with a smile.
"even though i'm mad that i'm JUST now hearing about this, i'm very happy for you lizzie. i hope it all works out." sage says, giving lizzie a big hug.
"yeah me too.."

meanwhile, while sage and elizabeth were having their little catch up sesh, so was scarlett and her mom.
scarlett managed to arrive at her parents house in time. as soon as she pulled up her mother rushed out of her house and into scarlett's car.
now they are sitting in a very quiet cafe talking about life.
"so how has life been treating you recently?"
"it's been good."
"just good?" her mom asks with a slight smirk
"fine. its been pretty amazing. we're filming another marvel movie, as you know, but i also have a girlfriend now." scarlett finishes with a smile.
"i knew it!! i figured that's why you were late this morning." she says wiggling her eyebrows.
"eww mom stop." scarlett says while laughing.
"what!? it's the truth." her mom smiles. "can i see this girl?"
"mhm."

"wow hun, you sure can pick 'em. tell me about her."
"well her name is sage. she's a actress like me and we met when we had a cast brunch. every since then we hit it off pretty good and then after a few weeks we started dating." scarlett finishes with a smile.
"and when can i meet her?"
"im not sure. we've only been dating for about 4 weeks now, i think it might be too early."
"well if it's not too early for you to fall in love, it's not too early for me to meet her." scarlett mom says, sipping her coffee.
"what are you talking about?.."
"oh come on scarlett. you're obviously in love with this girl. anyone can see it. and the way you smiled when you told me about her gave it all away."
"i can't love her mom. it's too early."
"so what!? you can't help how you feel."
"i just don't want to scare her away." scarlett sighs.
"look." her mom says as she takes scarlett's hand in hers. "if you don't want to say those three words now then don't ok? but don't let it be because of fear. like i said you can't help how you feel." she finishes with a shrug.
"thanks for the pep talk."
"it's what i'm here for." she smiles and winks
