November 26th

It has been a very long time since I came back to my hypothesis about the existence of supernatural creatures. I do not mean by those spirits of the dead, but instead, a far more aberrant creature. I believe that there is a doorway that could lead us into a parallel universe. However, I was left hindered on this question of how it all works. I even question myself, 'Why do I even go back to this ridiculous question about these seemingly non-existent creatures?'

I must be mad, no, I am definitely mad. I can't believe that I was thinking about these unreal assumptions.

Yet not long ago, I had explained this to my co-workers. They roughly shook it off with a snicker, completely ignoring what I've said. I was left mocked by my consciences and so I threw away that theory. I left it behind and continued to live out my life like a normal person, without mentioning one word about it to anyone.

Now, I returned to it after I had a dream just a week ago. It was a dream that was a memory, a memory that had never left me.

I remembered when I was a small child. During the afternoon I was playing hide-and-seek with other children in a forest, whilst our parents were meeting up in the manor. I went deep into the grove. It became darker and darker, the seeker will never find me here and I smirked at that thought. My legs continued running far enough till I could hear his voice fading away into silence. The overgrown tree leaves blocked the sun out and the ground was filled with broad colours. I hid in a crevice of a tree trunk, concealing myself well away from sight. Silence grew all over. There was no wind, no birds but a hollow world.

Suddenly, the silence was cut off by a sound of twigs snapping. It sounded so close, making the hairs along my arms stuck up. The sound of footsteps through the dense forest was slow and heavy, as leaves crunched on every step. I somewhat knew that this person was not one of my affiliates.

I held my breath and there right in front of me, I saw glowing red eyes looking at my direction. The eyes were about ten no, eight metres away from me. I stiffened at the sight of this thing in front of me, and I was left completely frozen. My hand automatically moved over my mouth, sealing in my whimpers. I was afraid, too afraid to even look away. Luckily, it never saw me and the eyes glared down at something. I've realised that it was a man, a killer I presumed. The outsized grey fur coat he wore made it look like he was bear. I watched in terror as this man opened his mouth widely and plunged his sharp teeth into a deceased deer. He ripped out a chunk of meat like if it were a wolf salvaging its prey. What am I looking at? Who is he? Human? No, definitely not. This man, he was not human.

Time passed by, as minutes felt like hours. As much as I wanted to run, I couldn't. Instead my eyes laid on the man who was feasting upon the carcass.

The man suddenly had lost interest in the deer and let the corpse free from his teeth. There was still a lot of meat remaining on its bones.

I carefully watched this man's behaviour. He pointed his nose to the roof of the forest and sniffed the air. He was searching for something. I heard him let out a deep sigh of desire. The red eyes stared back at my direction and the man stood up very slowly. He came prowling in towards me. It was obvious, he could smell me; my scent was attracting him to me. At this point, I did not know what to do. The overgrown shrubs covered his approach. I looked from left to right but I was unable to see him.

I looked to the left once more and yet again I saw nothing. My heart was beating intensely against my chest. No longer do I feel safe and invisible in the tree trunk. All I could do was pray and hope that he will never find me.

When I looked back to the deer, he suddenly appeared right in front of me. I held my breath. He was so close and I shrunk back, glaring into the eyes of a beast. His teeth were like a wolf's and his nails were like the talons of an eagle. Red fluids dribbled down from the edges of his mouth, as his face remained nonchalant. His face had features of a human's. Yet those eyes, those teeth, and those short gray hairs sticking out from his cheeks was what made him different.

Oh I was in trouble. He can see me and I was a poor little mouse trapped in a corner, with no time and no courage to escape. Those red eyes of his were staring directly into mine and had me spell-bounded. My life was going to end when his slender fingers outstretched towards me. His fingernails passed right by my face, but the sharp ends of his nails scratched against my cheek, causing blood to flow out from the small cut.

The man drew his hand back. He looked down at his fingers and licked the crimson liquid clean off the nail. "Sweet, oh, so sweet, but I do not wish to kill a child," he said in a deep voice. "Now be off, did you not know that it is dangerous to be wandering alone? Otherwise if it were not the deer it would of been you. See this as if it were a dream."

He raised a forefinger to the centre of his lips. A small grin swept up on his face. I wanted to question him, however, he turned around and hastily ran back deeper within the forest. The man disappeared into darkness and I sat, trembling in fear. I saw something, which I should not have seen.

I finally got the courage to scramble out of my hiding-hole. My feet wobbled uncontrollably along with my hands. I supported myself against the trunk and breathed heavily. To this point I was still shaking. It was not over yet, as I still needed to get out. I turned to face back to where I came from and preceded running in that direction. It was still dark and I don't know when I will find the children.

A voice was calling out to me and I recognised that voice. It was my father, who was calling out my name repeatedly. I kept on running straight without stopping and I finally escaped the forest.

My stomach then twisted because I had realised something. It struck me like an arrow to the head. Day had turned to night. I could see light coming out from the manor on the hill. My father was standing right ahead of me. I did not ran to him. I stood still, shocked, and petrified. I knew that I was there hiding for a long time, but I do not know that I was there for that long. How was this possible?

My memory ended from there, everything else was just a blur. During that time when I was hiding in the forest, it turned out that my parents and all of the children were looking for me, ever since an hour after the game had started.

One other thing that I did was, I did not tell them. Why would I? If I told them about that dog-like man, they would think that it is an excuse to cover up the truth. My parents assumed that I must of fell asleep during the game. I went with it and used that to cover up the truth. I did not want to tell them. Never did I hesitated to lie at that moment.

All I know is that, everything in that dream, everything in that memory I saw was real. Thus, it led me into writing in this journal about all of my theories, all of my beliefs, my accomplishments and the evidences. These abnormal beings, have really caught my interest.

I have gathered enough material to start my journey. I have read about an old legend in which humans and creatures used to co-exist. Their world was known to be imperfect. An angered god came and separated the two into two different worlds. However, this is just a legend. If it were to involve science then it could be that some sort of force, involving positive and negative energies are able to link the worlds together. I am not sure in how it works, but I am hoping that I can enter their world by venturing into the forest one more time. I also read about other people who have sighted strange things, though there is little evidence whatsoever that they have seen such a beast wandering in the woods. They say it was Bigfoot or the Yeti. Apart from that, that one being I saw during my childhood was real.

I packed up enough necessities and other gear to survive. I am hoping to find evidence of any sign or thing within the forest. If there is any connection or a gateway to their world, I am sure that I am ready to enter.

I also nearly forgot to mention. I have thrown away my job for this. There will probably be no chance that I would ever come back in order to use my discoveries as a merit in life. If so then I am blessed. I also had left a note on my dinner table so that someone will be able to know that I had left my household for a "long vacation".

Taking this journal with me; I shall take my leave quietly. No matter how long it takes, I do not wish to die before I find them. Even if my life ends up being wasted, not everything that I do will be regretted.
