June 4th

Maybe, just maybe I could reason with Marok. He had been staying quiet for quite some time and I wasn't able to get his past out of him. On a regular basis, he would come in and give me food. Cooked. He never spoken a word about his true motives once he steps into the human world. Instead, he talks about vampires as if they were pests in this world. He even asked why I was there with them. Just by the clothes that I was wearing and the scent that I carried, it was easy for him to guess which vampire family I came from.

When Dravis declared war on lycans, it was unexpected. The two species remained quiet for nearly two centuries, until Dravis broke that silence. Marok told me that the lycans were restless and now they were preparing for war. War had been raging on between the two species for millennia. I told him what was about to change that there will be peace between vampires and lycans. Since Dravis is dead and his younger brother is taking his place. Instead, Marok scoffed, refusing to believe me. Marok stared into the fireplace, his eyes reflecting the furious red flames before him. I knew that he was angry, but he would not tell me why. He was trying to keep something locked in a chest, and he dare not allow me to pry into his head and open it.

As days passed by, he asked me to corporate with him. I shook my head in denial and so he threw a fist at my face. He asked again, and as I recovered, I croaked, "No...,". And again, he punched me. My head lolled sideways, saliva and blood dripped from my lips. I could feel my lips and cheeks swallowing.

From the very beginning I knew, he wasn't going to play nice – not all the time. The man is quick tempered. It was never easy for him to settle down once the fuse has been lit. Although, that anger was the source to opening up his powers. It had not only scared me but rather it made me more intrigued. As I continued to spat, kicked, and cussed at him, his fist ran past my head and straight through the wall behind me. The stone crumbled off his knuckles to reveal skin that remained unscarred. His fingernails were extended and his eyes were red. I felt my heart skipped a beat and my body went still. Those eyes truly frightened me and I couldn't help but give in.

However, I do not know the way out of here. I did not want to tell him this. If I did, he will kill me and I don't want to be killed. The thing that matters to me was getting out. But how am I supposed to get out if I don't know where the exit is?

I followed the map and I was supposed to see the manor, but nothing was there. I know that I am not wrong as that part of the forest looked familiar. Was I looking at the wrong place? Something was definitely wrong and I cannot figure it out.

A few days ago, something did happened. Marok dragged me out of his dilapidated hideout and ordered me to find the portal that leads to the human world. As Marok and I traversed the forest floor in search for the entrance, we were stopped unexpectedly. Marok sniffed the air, realising the atmosphere around us had not only became silent but dangerous. The bushes cracked behind us, and we turned towards the sound. Emerging from the shrubbery were two men. They were bulky with scruffy hair and teeth that were pointy. The men wore ragged clothing that were covered in grime. Marok gave a low growl from the back of his throat and stepped in front of me.

"Cain? Lukas? What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Marok!" one of them called brightly, stretching out his arms as if wanting to give him a hug. "We've been looking all over for ya."

"Think you could just slip away after what you did?" said the other with his head held up high. He looked much older than the other man did. Taller and muscular than his companion an even Marok. He stepped forward but stopped at arm's length.

"What are you talking about?" Marok questioned, his voice sounded a bit hoarse.

The man folded his arms and raised a brow. "Don't play dumb with me. We know that you killed Reynar."
