I have got you in my hair
I can feel you round me everywhere...

-------

The next day was a very important day for y/n. She was going to get her new uniform for school tomorrow. She was excited to see how the uniforms would look, but she was also slightly worried about the fact that the chances of it being extremely ugly were high. "Mom, can't you just go pick it up and take it back to me??" Her mom rolled her eyes at this sentence. "No, they need to make sure it fits you. They're also giving you a chance to walk around the school, so you won't be as lost when you come back tomorrow." The young girl slouched in her seat in disappointment.

When they got there, she saw the uniform that she'd be wearing. It's not that bad... It could've been way worse. After she got finished finding the right size (which didn't take long), she took a short walk around the school.

"So, what do you think of the uniforms and school?" Her mother asked. "It was fine. After I saw the uniform, I was only worried about the comfort level. Turns out I didn't need to be. I like the school too. It's decorated really nicely and it's pretty easy to get around."

THE NEXT DAY

Y/n was getting ready for school. She made sure to wake up really early so she wasn't late for her first day of school. At the moment she was doing her hair. It was easy, she just straightened her hair and left it down. When she did her makeup, she did a natural base with a small wing of eyeliner.

She didn't eat breakfast. She usually doesn't. Eventually, the time came for her to leave for school. It was still early, and her mom was still asleep. She was thinking about how she could definitely use her mother's reassuring words on this day, but decided it was best to just stop in her room and tell her goodbye.

She rode her bike to school. She loved riding her bike places, even if there was no destination she meant to go to. She found it peaceful. With the sounds of nature surrounding her and the wind blowing through her hair.

She was a nervous wreck upon arriving to school. She left her bike and immediately went towards the office. She got her schedule hoping she remembered her walk around the school from the day before. She knew that she wouldn't get to her class on time if she didn't go straight away, so she left for her class. She was looking at her feet as she walked to avoid eye contact. one... two... three... The counting went on with each step she took. It was a way to calm herself. She was a new face, so she knew people would be looking at her.

thirty... thirty-one... thirty tw- "Oh!" She had run into someone. "I'm so sorry! I should've been watching where I was going better!" The girl she'd run into looked like she was trying to contain herself. She put on a smile. It was visibly fake. "Oh, it's okay! No worries. You're that new girl, right?" damnit. "Yep! I'm just trying to find my way to my first class." The girl had red hair; she was pretty too. "I could help you find it if you'd like?" "Oh no worries... I'm pretty sure it's right there." The redhead had just nodded and walked away. Y/n was right about her class location. It was an English classroom. She was never good at English. Yeah, she was able to speak it, but she was never able to understand the concepts of it. When a teacher would ask why a word was spelled a certain way, or what the meaning of a word was, she would always just shrug and stay silent.

She walked into the classroom just in time. Everyone else was there, including the teacher. Please don't say what I think you wi- "Hello! You must be Y/n. Until the class bell actually rings, you can take a seat anywhere." Oh no. Mostly everyone was in groups with their friends. She sat the furthest away from everyone she could. After about one more minute, the bell rang. "Goodmorning everyone! Today we have a new student, Y/n. Would you like to come up and introduce yourself to the class?" She shook her head, making almost everyone in the classroom laugh. "Alright, come on up!" I wasn't joking. She shakily got up, hoping nobody else could sense how nervous she was. "Hello... My name is y/n. You can call me y/n/n though. Im from *town name* and I moved here a couple days ago with my mom." As she spoke, her eyes flickered to every face in the classroom. Her eyes were wide open, she knew. They always did that when she was nervous. After she finished, she hurried to her seat, some eyes still on her. She just kept her head down.

"Well thank you for that y/n! Now it's time to pull out your notebooks, because today we're going to..."

Finally, English class ended. She's really energetic for a Monday. After another period, it was time for Math. When she finally got there, she saw that familiar redhead from this morning. The bell had just rung when she got there, so she introduced herself immediately. "Thank you, y/n! You can go over and sit next to Ocean." The girl raised her hand, so she walked over to her and sat down. "Well, hello again... I guess." She whispered the last part to herself. "I wasn't expecting you to be in this class! Maybe you won't be as bad as I thought." Y/n stared at her blankly after that, slightly smiling. It was a tense moment of eye contact between the girls, mainly because Ocean had just implied that she thought Y/n was dumb because they ran into each other.

After Math had ended, Y/n had a period for a break. She went to the bathroom and touched her makeup up, and also walked around to find where the rest of her classes would be so she wouldn't be late. After this break, she went to history. She did the same routine and was sat in a random seat in the middle. The seats were all spread out. Different from most of the other classes. By the end, she looked over to see a boy reading. I've read that book before... Maybe I could talk to him once we leave, and I could make a friend! The bell rang. She got up to head to lunch, but before that she went up to the boy.  "Hey... I'm y/n, in the last class." He looked at her. Uh oh. "I saw you reading, I just wanted to say that it's a good one. Actually, one of my favorites!" She smiled softly at him. He just side eyed her and walked away. Okay then.

The girl then went to the library to eat lunch because she did not want to be sitting alone in a cafeteria. Good thing I packed. Once she sat down at a table, she saw another group of kids sit down at a table near her. The same group of kids she saw at that cafe. That group including Ocean and that other boy. When she saw them, her eyes went wide, and she just kept to writing while eating her small lunch she packed for herself.

They definitely saw me. It's ironic how she loves writing, but her worst class is English. Her mom loved writing as well, and she took a liking to rewriting her mother's poems to be longer, more like a song. As she was writing, she heard something. Is that. rap music? It was. Not the good kind, like Tupac or something, it was actually horrible and filled with autotune. Too much autotune. This is the worst thing I've heard in my life. I'm gonna finish my food and then I can finish writing later. She just wanted to get out of there. After she finished eating, she got up and walked out. On her way out, she looked at the group as if they were all growing horns or something. In reality, she was just shocked as to how the group could listen to that.
