*knock knock*

"Ah? Marcus, would you be so kind as to invite our guest inside?" Jimini asks, sitting on the table.

The 234cm tall man nods as he makes his way to the door. "You were waiting for someone?"

The salamander chuckles. "Not really, but I would not be surprised if this is who I think it is."

Marcus opens the door and looks down at the petite woman. "How may I help you?"

"Good evening. I am looking for Mr Jimini." Kamui shows him her small card.

The man opens the door with a nod, letting her inside.

She sees Jimini who smile at her. "Welcome in our humble abode, Emiya."

"Sorry to disturb you at such a late hour." She sits down in front of him.

The salamander hums, his little front paws clasped together. "Do not worry. Helping you would be my pleasure."

Kamui looks aside with a hum, believing that she is burdening him.

But Jimini knows how people like Kamui think. He is 167 years old after all. "Young Emiya, there is no need to feel guilty. In fact, the deal is heavily in our favour." He puts a paw on her hand. "In the old world, kings would make you Archduke if it meant having your protection. So helping you adapt is not a problem."

"Truthfully, being Archduke seems more like a burden than a reward." She smiles lazily.

Jimini sits back down. "So... How may we help you?"

Kamui plays with her hands. "You remember when I told you that I come from an universe identical to this one?" He nods as Marcus sits down at the other end of the table. "Well... My hometown does not exist here."

"It means that there are no you from this world." Marcus writes her case down. "Which also mean you do not legally exist. You need basic paperwork."

"Yeah..."

"A common procedure." Jimini explains. "Everyone needs it in the beginning."

Marcus gets up. "Follow me."

Kamui puts her hand down, Jimini understanding and climbing on her shoulder.

The giant gestures for Kamui to sit in front of the only computer of the house. "I forgot to take my pebble." Jimini hums.

Marcus grunts in annoyance as he extends his hand in front of the screen, a magic circle manifesting.

An internet tab opens, but instead of the normal browser interface, a list of various magical items appears.

"I think you know how to use a computer. Here is a list of everything you will need." Marcus hands her a plastified paper.

Jimini chimes in. "As for payment, just use the saved card. You do not have to worry about it." He adds when he sees her frown.

Nodding reluctantly, Kamui takes hold of the list and starts to search for the needed documents.

'So that's how they get paperwork done here.'

'It's surprisingly comfortable' Kamui sinks in the couch, a warm blanket covering her body.

She brings it closer to her face, her half-lidded eyes locked on her reflection in the TV's black screen. 'Now what?'

What is she supposed to do?

'It feels like a reset.' Kamui sigh, tired by the recent events. 'At least now I can do what I want. I guess.' She smiles sadly.
