"Cynthia?" A young woman calls.
"Yeah?" The golden eyed teen smiles.
The young woman sobs, her eyes irritated by the ashes. "What... What have you done?"
"I destroyed a city, obviously." Cynthia raises her eyebrows in confusion.
"Why?" The woman cries.
"Why not?" The girl frowns.
"The people. They..." She cannot finish her sentence.
Cynthia finishes it for her. "Are dead, yes."
"They had a future!" The woman screams before getting interrupted by a coughing fit.
"Every dead person had a future. Stop stating the obvious." Cynthia shakes her head like a disappointed parent. "Or they didn't, since I killed them. Maybe I was meant to be the end of their future?"
Rage consumes the woman. "If you knew the consequences, why did you do this!?"
The teen huffs with contentment. "Oh yeah? And why have you sold Cynthia to slavery?" The teen smiles sadly. "She truly liked you."
Truth be told, It was stronger than simple likeness.
The question chills the woman. "You are not Cynthia."
Cynthia's smile disappears, leaving place to resentment.
"She lost her future the moment her shackles were closed, Laure."

"No, your feet are too far apart." An armored gentleman corrects Kamui. "Look at what happens if I push you here." He makes her fall without much difficulty.
Kamui rolls back up, a dull blade in her hands. "I see, but that is the same position you told me to do before."
The man, Sir Oliver, smiles. "Indeed, that is why I know these weaknesses. The goal is to make the right move at the right moment." He waits for her to go back into position and corrects it to counter its weakness.
He tries again and Kamui shifts her weight to resist. "It isn't perfect, but with practice, you should be fine." He goes back into position, his eyes shining in excitement. "Now can you show me how you would have countered it?"
That is the game both have been playing. Sir Oliver teaches the basics of swordsmanship to Kamui and shows her the weaknesses in every stance and move. In exchange, Kamui shows him how she would have managed the situation if she had relied on her inhuman Instinct.
He charges and attacks Kamui, he kicks her to throw her off balance but she goes along with it, her back leg folding under her weight. She then makes a wide arc at the knight's feet with her bldae, which he jumps over.
Right before exploding, leaving empty pieces of armor all around.
"Why did you not dodge my attack?" The armor reassembles itself. "You could have sustained a serious injury if it were a serious duel."
Kamui smiles. "I wanted to experience it, it could happen to me someday. I'm sure there are entities that I will not be able to outpace."
Sir Oliver hums, his head/helm under his shoulder. "You dragon-class entities sure have complex ways of beating each other up. So much factors to take into account."
