Scared To Fall In Love

Unlike Me He Has No Doubts

On  the plane you sit beside Tae with Jimin and Yoongi across from you. You sigh "Thanks guys, but you can't keep me surrounded. Jungkook and I will be in each other presence no matter what. This was why I was hesitant about coming."

Yoongi says "He knew you were coming with us. We had a talk with him last night. He said that he was fine with you being with us."

 Jimin says "He says he is but we know he's not. Lets be honest here, you two need to talk."

 You say "What am I to do? This is going to be so awkward for me and him too, if I'm to tell the truth."

Tae says "He knows you are with me and he knows the others accept and respect that." 

Yoongi says "Jungkook missed his chance, we know it and he knows it."

 You look at Tae and sadly say "But I don't want to be the cause of any damage to your friendship."

 Jimin says "But it would not be right for him to deny Taehyung a chance at love and happiness, or you either."

Tae takes your hand in his,  "He knows how I feel about you and I couldn't have a better friend than one who trusts me with your heart. It means so much to me that he does."

You smile wearily at them and say "Thanks guys, you know I love you but this is crazy."

The next day you are walking down the hall from your room to Tae's. He had texted you earlier to come by after everyone caught up on some sleep from jet lag.

You knock on his door and Jimin lets you in, "Hi Lovely, don't be mad at me." his smile seemed forced.

 Concerned you say, "Hi Jimin and why would I be mad at you? Are you ok?" then as you stepped into the room you noticed Jungkook sitting in one of the chairs in the room.

You turn to leave but Jimin blocks you and holds your hands "Please stay and talk with him." 

You look at Jimin feeling betrayed, "I, I don't know." 

You try to pull away from Jimin but bump into someone behind you who just came in. You feel Tae's arms wrap around you as he pulls you back against his chest.

 He whispers in your ear, "Talk to him, baby. Clear the air. I will be just outside the door if you need me. You two need to talk, this has been a long time coming. If nothing else, do it for me . . . for us."

 He gives you a soft kiss on the side of your neck and you almost melt into his arms right then.

He steps out of the room followed by Jimin who  closed the door leaving you and Jungkook alone. You stand there near the door not moving.

Jungkook gets up from the chair and walks towards you, "Baby I'm . ." 

Upset you interrupt him "I'm not your baby."

 He has the decency to blush then says "I'm sorry." That is all he says.

 Trying to put on a brave face you say "What are you sorry for?"

 He does his nervous tongue in cheek movement then says "I handled everything wrong when we were together. I hurt you thinking I was protecting you."

You look at him surprised, "Protecting me, protecting me from what?"

He lowers his head and says "Me."

Your legs suddenly felt weak and you sit in a chair he brought over to you. He then brings the chair he was sitting in close to you.

 Looking at him you ask "What do you mean?"

 He takes a deep breath then says "I mean" he runs his hands through his hair and over his face, "I was so caught up with  . . . ugh, it's just that falling in love scared the hell out of me and I ran. I ran back to Korea without you. You deserve better"

You sigh and reach out and take his hand "I loved you. I thought you loved me too, but when you left me without a world and no contact afterward . . . the others found time to stay in touch. It broke my heart that you couldn't even tell me good bye or why."

 He frowns and rolls his chair back letting go of your hand "I'm sorry." he looks away thinking of the time you two shared.

 "I know now what it feels like to have had love and lost it.  Believe me when I say it is better to not know love at all."

He looks back at you "I know Taehyung has had tender feelings for you a long time now. I've been such a jerk but I am happy for you and Tae. I hope you have feelings for him like he does for you. Because they are real and he has no doubts unlike I did."

You feel a tear slip from your eye and you wipe it away, "I do have feelings for Tae. I'm in love with him. I guarded my heart because of you, afraid of being hurt again but I can't deny the fact that my heart has healed enough to take a chance at love once more."

Jungkook reaches out and wipes a tear from your face. "I don't think you could find a better love than that of Taehyung. I already know he is ready to give his whole heart to you. Not just a piece of it like me."

He stands and you stand too and he hugs you. "Welcome back Anne. I have truly missed you." he gives you his cute bunny smile then steps away from you to open the door.

 He stops with his hand on the handle, "He loves you. More than I allowed myself to love you, because he's not afraid of falling in love."

You smile and when he opens the door there is Taehyung smiling his sexy boxy smile with eyes only for you.

Taehyung enters taking you in his arms and as Jungkook passes by he says "I know you will take good care of her." 

Tae nods and you hear the door close. You wrap your arms around Tae's neck and look up at him, "I love you Kim Taehyung."

He smiles "I love you too."  

You say "No doubts?" 

He smiles "No doubts." Then he pulls you close and kisses you, taking you to his bed.
