Approaching the ruins through the rocky terrain, the man and the woman carefully made their way through the outer rubble of a ruined supply warehouse near an empty highway. The man ducked under the slightly open entrance of the building as the woman followed closely behind him.

"Should we split up and scout the area?" The woman suggested that the supply warehouse looked even larger from the inside with its long lines of different sections of racks and some ripped open boxes placed on them. The only thing lighting the whole way of the warehouse were the sky lights along the roof of the building.

The man nodded as he made his way towards one side of the warehouse as he held his rifle up cautiously. While the woman went towards the other and takes out her handgun. The man surveyed the area if there were any other scavengers alike while checking a few boxes for anything useful. Meanwhile on the other side, the woman snuck her way through the different kinds of racks of the building as her figure swiftly went from one corner to the other.

Halfway through the side of the building, the woman spotted a stack of boxes that led towards a higher area of the warehouse. Yet the stack looked old and she didn't want to risk it falling in on itself if she attempted to climb it to gain a better view of the scouted area.

Spotting a small slip between some of the boxes, she took off pieces of equipment first from her backpack to the knee pads she had on and slipped them in between the boxes and the handgun last for easy access if she needed to gun and run. Turning her head around making sure that there wasn't anyone in sight. She took a deep breath before she shifted into her smaller cat form.

The woman was unaware that a familiar figure had seen it happen. The man was standing near a rack with a pile of boxes a few sections down from where the woman was standing. The man had gone to regroup and find the woman after scouting clear most of the building yet he wasn't expecting to come across this shocking revelation.

The man swore that he thought he was hallucinating. Seriously, all this time the cat who he had saved that time was the woman who he had taken under his wing, how come he didn't notice it before?

In that moment, the man was just frozen in place. His brain was attempting to process what he had just seen with his own two eyes.

Meanwhile the cat-bodied woman had leapt up from one box to the other upon the stack. She was too focused on getting to the top of the stack to not even notice the man who was frozen in place as he kept his eyes on her.

It was only until she was three boxes high that she had gazed down and out of the corner of her eye to see the man's figure.

At that point, the two were staring at each other. One staring in shock and the other staring in horror. The silence dragged on for a solid minute. "What the fuck-" The man broke the silence as he still couldn't believe his eyes.

"This is real, долбаный кот?" (A fucking cat?)

meow.

"Am I goddamn hallucinating?"

meow.

"Are you really what I just saw?"

mrow.

Questions and answers went on back and forth for a while, despite all the answers all being the sound of a cat. The man took one step closer each time towards the stack of boxes that the woman was standing on in her cat form.

"Now it explains how you are so hypersensitive to your surroundings и тот факт, что вы любите много смотреть." The man laughed as the woman's tense form slightly relaxed from it. (and the fact that you like to stare a lot.)

The woman intended to keep her current form a secret from the man and maybe reveal it once she felt ready but there wasn't any point for that now. Was he smiling? She couldn't tell.
