"I BELIEVE IT," A GIRL WITH short, brown hair whispered to her friends. "I ran into them while I was clothes shopping and I swore they were holding hands."

"It was for a quick second, but I think they kissed." Another girl with pink-pigmented skin cupped a hand around her mouth.

"I'm honestly not surprised if you look at the circumstances." The girl with a cool voice crossed her arms.

"There's no doubt," the brunette smiled cheerily. "But you're right, I kind of always thought something was...you know, going on behind closed doors."

"If it is true how do you think he will react?"

"GOOD MORNING, (NAME)," A familiar cheery voice calls out.

(name) cooly smiles at his friend. "Mornin', Izu. Excited as always." A bashful laugh. Katsuki was nowhere to be seen anywhere by U.A.'s front entrance (name) and Izuku stood ten minutes before they'd be considered late. "Anything specific reason you're this happy?" He leads them through U.A.'s front doors.

"A― ah, I guess it had to do with our recent test scores Aizawa-sensei posted." Quick to lie, Izuku more-or-less admitted. Kacchan isn't here for once, is his first thought. (name) and I can be alone. Like when... Izuku stopped there. Thinking such things sent his heart racing faster than whenever (name) would smile at him. His nerve endings buzzed, his brain shut off completely, and his face heated up bright red.

"Sounds like you."

"Wh― what did you get on the test?"

"Not sure, but I tied with Iida-san." An unsurprising result considering he is a smart, reliable, productive student everyone comments would better belong attending a private school meant for intellectual young students. Then again, he didn't exactly act very "prim and proper", sometimes showing violence at a level halfway up to where his brother stands. After all, (name) isn't anything like Katsuki. He's kind, generous, and relaxed ― really anything Katsuki isn't. Recollecting past encounters, it was always the other Bakugō sibling offering a kind smile even though they didn't sustain a lengthy conversation.

Meanwhile, Izuku never managed stable eye contact.

He felt thankful (name) made up for his own lack of social skills.

"Oh yeah," (name) suddenly exclaims. "Am I still coming over?" If Izuku was a fish he'd float belly-up in his fishbowl from the sudden stop of his heart when (name) asked that question.

Right, their usual hang-out sessions at Izuku's house.

"Y― yeah," he shyly nods, blushing bright red. Even after all this time, I still get embarrassed... But that isn't the only emotion he feels.

"Midoriya!" Four girls screeched: Tsuyu, Mina, Ochako, and Toru. The latter was normally a quieter girl although her uniform shook and a faint pink shadow showed she shared the other three's excitement. After appearing at class 1-A's entrance all of them surrounded Izuku. (name) watches in confusion as they stole his companion away.

"(name)." A deeper, quieter tone called him this go around.

"Yo, Fumikage." He walked toward his close acquaintance who leaned cooly against his desk. They sat next to each other and since neither exactly was social, they quickly got along. "Have you seen Katsuki, by any chance?" They have yet to see each other.

"He was here earlier. After I came in he left. The weird thing is he didn't say a single thing. Usually, he's shouting up a storm and giving me a headache."

(name) laughs. "Yeah, that is the norm." It's strange, though. (name) took out his phone to send his brother a hurried "where are you". Katsuki never leaves his brother in the cold. "Eh, he's probably got some business to take care of. So, what have you been up to, Fumikage?"

MINA LOUDLY CLAPS HER HANDS together in a begging manner. "Come oooon! We promise we won't tell anyone!" Ochako excitedly leans forward, her eyes sparkling. They all cornered Izuku in the far back of the classroom. Any closer and he'll suffocate.

"We just want to know if what our eyes saw really deceived us~" Ochako continued. Tsuyu and Toru stared at Izuku quizzically.

"I― I didn't even understand wh― what you're asking me..." His hands shakingly raise up as if trying to ward the four away. The girls kidnapped him, and when he asked for answers, they giggled and then talked at the same time, saying different things.

"To put it bluntly," Tsuyu finally speaks, "we were wondering what's the deal with you and (name)-kun."

One second.

Two seconds.

Three seconds.

Izuku's face flushes darkly.

The deal between them?!

Hhow would I describe it...? His eyes glanced over Mina's shoulder.

Fumikage muttered something to (name), earning some laughter and a hand on the other's shoulder.

Jealousy, joy, sadness, and love are emotions no person can explain why they are there, and why they affect humans the way they do without adding their personal biases. But this case is different. "W― we're...friends." Sweat trickled down Izuku's temple. "We talk at school and sometimes over the phone a lot, b― but we don't hang out outside school that much..."

"Right, I keep forgetting Bakugō is suuuuper possessive." Ochako nervously rubs her head.

"Still, when you two do talk, you guys seem awfully close." Toru moved her arms to articulate what she meant. "Plus, Ashido and Uraraka said they noticed something that happened." Being called out led to the mentioned female duo blushing two shades, but they kept their devious grins.

"Wh― what are y― you talking about?"

"You see," Ochako cupped her hands around Izuku's ear.

"H― HUH?!"

Naturally, classmates gain an interest in learning others' personal details. Some don't go out of their way asking "What underwear are you wearing" but they keep an ear open during chatter amongst friends. Anyone believes anything nowadays, so Izuku can't blame these girls' fallacies coming to show. Still, he held back his corrections. They were close, just...not completely.

II'll talk to (name) about it during lunch. His tongue licked around his teeth; he didn't know what else he could say. I can't have the girls running around telling everyone. It's a myth Izuku's heart twisted from realizing. "There's nothing going on...a―and please, don't ask (name) the same thing." He'll think I sent them. He looked back at (name).

Eijirō joined him and Fumikage. He said something, (name) commented back, and EIjirō wrapped an arm around (name)'s shoulder that he didn't bother removing.

Yup, jealousy, joy, sadness, and love. Feelings Izuku often finds surrounding him.

"We weren't planning on it, heh~" Mina crookedly smiles. She was going to be the one rushing to (name) afterward. "We just wanted to make sure so we wouldn't have any misunderstandings."

One problem is done and over with.
