The afternoon sun brushed over the tired couple again, and this time neither of them moved. The sound of the house occupied by other's neither woke them, or bothered them in their deep sleep. Rain's head was nestled into the neck of P'Phayu, and his lips brushed the warm skin as he smacked them in unconscious sleep. The two of them were tangled up in each other as Phayu held him close, and still they slept.
Sometime around 2pm their friends got tired of waiting for the two to come down, and without warning they were woken from their happy sleep.
Soft footsteps crept up the carpeted steps, and stood in front of Rain's bedroom. Sky and Prapai stood at the closed door. The older male was amused at the irritation that rolled off his love in waves, and didn't even bother to stop him as he reached out to turn the doorknob. He sent out a silent apology to his best friend, but just stood by as his sexy firecracker barged into the room.
The two objects of Sky's irritation were cuddled together under the sheets, and while the thought that they were cute briefly passed through Sky's mind he pushed it away quickly in annoyance. They had been waiting HOURS for the two of them to get up so they could all eat.
Not to mention Rain had work he needed to do, and he couldn't hold off anymore. He felt kind of bad busting into the room, and seeing his best friend so intimately tangled with his lover and reached for the sheet.
Prapai's eyes widened as he leapt forward to stop Sky, but the man had already grasped the sheet and was pulling it off the two of them.
"Sky!!"
He quickly turned his body to block his baby's eyes but knew the damage had been done. The room exploded in chaos as two naked bodies were exposed to the room.
"My eyes....my eyes!!! Why are you naked?!"
Sky wailed as he clapped his hands over his eyes, his face pressed into the body of his own lover.
The two on the bed jerked from sleep were woken by the yelling, and were shocked. Well...Rain was shocked, and Phayu was more amused as he saw he best friend shield his lover from their nakedness. He could more or less tell what had happened, but Sky's dramatic yelling was making it hard not to laugh.
Rain scrambled off the bed, and grabbed for the shorts he had tossed on the ground at sometime the night before, while also yelling.
"Sky! Why did you tear off the sheet? What are you both doing in my bedroom?!"
Phayu calmly scooted to the edge of the bed, and pulled on his jeans as he watched Prapai look back at him furtively. His eyes telling him to hurry, but he just ignored him and buckled his pants at the same speed as before.
'The fuck Phayu hurry up!' Prapai urged his best friend with his eyes.
'Then you should have stopped your lover from jerking off the sheet.' Phayu silently countered quirking his eyebrow.
The two of them breaking eye contact, and effectively ended their silent conversation as Rain moved to hide behind Phayu. Honestly although he was embarassed it wasn't such a big deal that Sky had seen him, but he knew practically nothing of the tall dark haired man who hid Sky from view.
Rain had a issue with a stranger seeing him naked...Phayu's best friend or not.
"Are you dressed?"
Sky called out as he peeked around the solid body of Prapai, and found himself staring straight at Phayu. He had no doubt that Rain was hiding behind him. His musings were confirmed as a defiant Rain peeked out and answered him.
"No!"
"You are too! I see your shirt on"
Rain didn't answer him, but instead tugged the arm of his lover and dragged him from his room. Normally he wouldn't be irritated with Sky, after all they usually shared everything and he had free range of the house. But something about Sky seeing what was his, and his alone irritated him. His foot touched the landing floor of his kitchen, and he felt his irritation start to fade.
Breakfast filled the table, and cups of coffee for all of them sat steaming at each plate. He turned to see a sheepish Sky behind him, and felt the normal rush of love for his best friend. He was someone who knew him best, and vice versa.
"We...made breakfast...and wanted you to eat before it ..got cold"
Sky explained as he felt heat creep up into his face as his voice dissolved into a mumble. He loved Rain, and they both knew it. As independent and sassy as he could be, Rain was special to him and in moments like this it showed. When he'd followed the two of them from the room he had realized how inappropriate his actions had been, and had been worried when he sensed genuine irritation from Rain. The breakfast had saved his butt, and he knew it.
They all knew it.
He mentally unclenched when Rain walked back to him, and gave him a hug. He silently apologized with his eyes, and Rain squeezed his hand as he leaned on him. Letting out a silent breath of relief they all went to sit down.
The four of them dug into the soup and rice with a gusto, and barely came up for air until most of it was eaten.
"Ahh...Rain this manila envelope was on the doorstep. I think it's from the record company."
Sky handed Rain the envelope with 'Motorcade Records' stamped over it. The four of them settled down and made small talk as Rain opened it.
"So I didn't really introduce myself. I'm Prapai...Phayu's best friend, and Sky's..."
Prapai started to really introduce himself, but was cut short as the amused smile on Rain's face blinked out and the color slid from his face. The envelope in his hands slipped, and photos fluttered to the floor while one landed on the table.
The picture was of Rain and Phayu on the balcony laying on each other, something that Rain knew they had only done the night before. His mind reeled as it checked boxes in his head, and he knew that they weren't a threat to his career...but.
But...someone had been in his home, and in the vicinity of his home so close that they could take those pictures. They had been so close, and he hadn't even known. He could feel the panic rise from his stomach, and didn't even realize that his name was being called repeatedly.
He sucked in a giant gasp of air, but it kept happening until he couldn't stop it.
"Baby.....baby....Rain!"
He snapped his head to the side to look at Phayu, and saw his eyebrows furrowed in worry.
'Oh...I'm hyperventilating...I should stop before...'
He felt a separation from reality as his thoughts became abstract, and black dots appeared on the edge of his vision before he passed out.
Rain's body sagged, and fell limply against Phayu who had been cradling him against his side when the hyperventilating had started. He carried the unconscious Rain to the couch, and covered him with a blanket. A vicious anger was snapping inside of him, but he held it back because he needed to take care of business.
As he did all of that Prapai and Sky had cleared the table; neither of them wanting to touch the photo that had fallen on the table, or the ones that had spilled from the envelope onto the floor. Phayu walked back to the table, and bent down to retrieve the fallen photos. The envelope had been full of pictures of the night before.
It was a nightmare as Phayu flipped through the pictures. He thanked God for the cover of night because it had hidden their intimate parts, but the last picture had been a point blank photo of Rain right as he came. The expression meant just for Phayu...someone had dared to take a picture of it.
His hand crumpled the photo, and he desperately willed the anger to go away. His fist clenched so hard he didn't realized that he'd drawn blood until he felt hands pry his palm open. Glassy eyes focused, and he realized that 'Pai was gently opening his hand.
He noticed that Sky was sitting at the couch his hands wrapped around Rain's, and looked back as a cloth brushed over his raw palm wiping the blood away. They sat there silently like that as 'Pai cleaned his hand, and slowly tears slid down his face. He was good at protecting with his fist's, his brain, but how do you protect from something you can't see without any clues.
There was only one thing he could think of in the moment. He brushed away errant tears and reached into his pocket for his phone while his hand was finished being bandaged.
