I was nibbling on the piquant crunchy chicken sandwich as a familiar horn sound pierced my ears.
Oh my gosh!
My jaw dropped and hands froze.
I stole a glance at Mumma and she shot back at me confused
"The horn sounds a bit strange today?!"
Oh no, no!
She had noticed!
My palms began to sweat. Mind felt numb. Heart skipped a bit.
She noticed it wasn't the horn on my school van, it was Nashwa's BMW. I am damn sure she will not spare a moment to chop off my head if she finds out I am bunking off school!
Has Nashwa no scruples at all? The idiot blew the horn despite my instructions not to.
Grabbing my school bag, I rushed to the door. But my "careful" mumma caught me off guard by handing me the lunch box. How should I explain I don't need these since I will be eating a whole more?
Anyway, to avert her attention I snatched it and dashed out not before sneaking a look at her.
Normally, she would have recognized my nervousness and unusual haste by now, but I think she's lost in some serious thoughts today.
Relief filled my lungs as I sped out of the main door.

My left brow twitched in astonishment as my gaze landed upon the BMW sport car standing at a distance in all its glory.
The window rolled down and my classmate Lily bobbed up, her pink bangs obscuring her blue eyes like a sheepdog. Sheepdog! Funny me :)
