A/N- Sorry about the boring chapter name lol.. Anyways get ready for some cute Harry and Y/N moments!!

Y/N opened the door to the Leaky Cauldron, panting, and stepped inside the famous pub. It was dark and shabby, and smelled strongly of wood and beer. Y/N walked up to the bartender, Tom, who owned the place. "Excuse me, sir, could you please tell me which room Harry Potter is staying in?" She asked politely.

He eyed her suspiciously. "I'm sorry miss, but I can't tell you that. I-" But he was interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Y/N!"

Y/N turned around eagerly and saw a boy with round glasses, green eyes, and messy jet-black hair standing on the wooden staircase. Y/N rushed towards him and strangled him in a tight hug.

"ARGH- can't- breath!" The boy said, struggling for air. Y/N slightly loosened her grip. Harry was grinning and blushing scarlet, and he buried his face in her hair.

"I missed you so much!!!" She exclaimed.

Harry turned an even deeper shade of red.

"I didn't know you were coming!" He said as they pulled out of the hug. Y/N chuckled.

"Well, it was kind of random. I was walking around and remembered you were here, in London, and I thought I would come by." She paused. "I also really missed you." She mumbled.

Suddenly the room was very hot.

Harry cleared his throat loudly, as they were both blushing furiously. "Yes, well, erm- would you like to see my room?" He blurted. Y/N nodded enthusiastically, glad for the change of subject. He led her upstairs to a door marked '11' and unlocked it. It swung open to reveal a cozy room with a very comfortable looking bed and some wooden furniture. Hedwig, Harry's snowy owl, was perched in her cage, clicking her beak.

"Hedwig!" Y/N said with a smile, striding across the room to stroke the owl.

Harry and Y/N stayed there for a while, chatting and laughing, and eventually they even tried to open The Monster Book of Monsters, their new Care of Magical Creatures book that tried to bite anything in its reach if it was not bound and shut (This ended with many giggles and eventually managing to bind it shut with one of Harry's belts, while it chased a shrieking Y/N). They bought everything on Y/N's list of items needed for their third year, and went to an excellent ice cream shop whose owner was quite fond of Harry, and gave them free ice creams. Y/N got her favourite chocolate chip cookie dough and Harry got his classic chocolate. That night, Y/N went to bed smiling and picturing Harry's laughing face. She didn't even notice her parents arguing.

For the next few days it went on like this. They would talk, laugh, make jokes, and put on silly skits. One day at lunch,  they brushed hands while reaching for the salt shaker, and Y/N felt a tingle in her hand that spread throughout her whole body, almost like electricity. They had both quickly pulled back their hands, blushing furiously. Embarrassed, Harry had accidentally knocked over his glass of water. Y/N had rolled her eyes and smiled, still blushing, and had helped him mop up the water as he muttered apologies, the pair avoiding eye contact.

Soon, Y/N moved into the Leaky Cauldron. There was only a week left until school started again, and she wanted to make the most of her time with Harry.

One morning, they had just sat down to have their french toast when the door to the pub opened. They saw a family of redheads struggling to fit through the small door hauling their luggage. "Fred, George, carry your sister's things, will you?" They heard a woman's voice say.

"Why do we have to carry her stuff?" Said a tall redhead.

"Yeah, why can't Ickle Ronnickins carry it?? He's barely carrying anything!" Said an identical boy. As Ron opened his mouth to retort furiously, he spotted Y/N and Harry at the table.

"Y/N! Harry!" He exclaimed, grinning widely. A girl with bushy brown hair turned her head at this. She gasped at the sight of them, and they all rushed to each other, hugging, speaking rapidly, their voices overlapping.

"We missed you so much!" Hermione beamed. Once Hermione and Ron had brought their things to their rooms, they all sat down to eat and discuss their summers. Ron went on excitedly about how they had just gone to Egypt, showing them a picture of his family that had been put on the paper, and how Fred and George had tried to shut him in a pyramid; Percy had gotten even more insufferable after being elected the new Head Boy of Gryffindor House.

Harry recounted the story of blowing up his Aunt Marge, and Ron roared with laughter, while Hermione gave him a disapproving look. "It really isn't funny, Ron. Honestly, Harry, it's a miracle you weren't expelled." She said seriously.

Hermione and Ron later explained how Hermione had met up with the Weasleys as soon as she could when they discovered Harry had ran away to the Leaky Cauldron, and they had planned to go to Diagon Alley sooner than usual so they could spend time with their best friends.

"But I didn't know you had already arrived, Y/N!" Ron said.

"Well, I figured I might as well come and spend some time with Harry, since I live in the city, and I moved in a couple of days ago." Said Y/N.

"Well, I'm sure you two had plenty of fun together." Hermione smirked. Y/N and Harry flushed as Ron and Hermione exchanged looks, then burst out laughing.

"Hey! What's so funny!" Harry said, annoyed. Y/N looked furious. "I just wanted to spend some time with my best friend! Is there anything wrong with that?!" Y/N yelled, her face red.

"Yeah, 'best friend' " Hermione continued, rolling her eyes, but stopping when she saw the look on Y/N's face. "Okay, okay, we'll stop." Hermione said, still grinning.

The quartet spent their last week shopping, talking, and eating ice cream, and Hermione even got a huge grumpy ginger cat named Crookshanks, which Ron hated with his heart and soul. Percy bustled about pompously with the gleaming silver Head Boy badge on his chest (many times with Fred and George mocking him behind his back) and would tell anyone who would listen about his new girlfriend, Penelope Clearwater; everyone was certain she was imaginary, but did not comment on this. On the night before school, Fred and George had even taken his Head Boy badge and changed it so that it bore the words 'Humongous Bighead' instead.

Before they knew it, it was September 1st, and they were at King's Cross, ready to board the Hogwarts Express. It was Y/N's little brother's first year at Hogwarts, and he was trying to get away from Y/N as she tried to give him tips and ruffled his hair. "Make sure you're friends with the right people who don't pressure you and who you can be yourself around and don't forget to change into your robes and-"

"Okay! Okay! I get it! Get off me!" He said, embarrassed, trying to struggle out of his sister's tight embrace. She let go of him and he tried to flatten his now messy dark brown hair. "Bye." He said, very annoyed. "Oh my goodness I can't bewieve my itty-bitty baby bwother Kai is off to Hog-"

"I SAID BYE." Kai said firmly, embarrassed, walking away from her and onto the train. Y/N grinned. She loved teasing him, but she really was getting a little emotional. She walked back towards her friends.

Ron, Hermione and Harry turned to her, grinning. "Ready?" Harry asked.

"Ready." She responded.
