A/N- I AM SO SO SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG FOR THIS CHAPTER!! I wasn't sure I wanted to continue writing this, and I've been really busy
Additional note- L/N stands for last name, forgot to add that to author's notes in the beginning :)

They had just gotten on the train, Ron and Hermione bickering as usual, when Harry's smile vanished and he lowered his voice seriously. "I need to talk to you all about something in private." He said.

"Ginny, go away." Ron said. Ginny huffed and stalked away, muttering something under her breath.

The quartet walked down the corridor, checking for empty compartments; all were full except for one at the very end of the train, which was being occupied by a sleeping man. He was wearing torn and patched up wizards robes, and he looked ill. He had dark shadows under his eyes, and it seemed like he had travelled a long way.

"Who d'you reckon he is?" Ron asked in a hushed tone as they shut the door to the compartment and sat down.

"Professor R.J. Lupin." Hermione replied at once.

"You know everything. How is it she knows everything?" Ron said, bewildered.

Hermione rolled her eyes. "It's on his suitcase." She pointed to an extremely battered case on the luggage rack over the stranger's head, which had the peeling words Professor R.J. Lupin on it.  "He must be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher!" Y/N whispered. The three nodded in agreement.

"Anyway, Harry, what was it you wanted to tell us?" Said Ron, turning his head to the bespectacled boy.

Harry had a worried look on his face. "Well..." He said slowly, "Last night I overheard Mr. and Mrs. Weasley arguing about me and Sirius Black, the escaped death eater, you know, the one that broke out recently?" He continued.

Y/N, Hermione, and Ron had matching confused expressions.

"But what's Black got to do with you?" Y/N inquired, baffled.

"That's what I thought," Said Harry, "but they think he's going to come after me. Mr. Weasley pulled me to the side before getting on the train, and last night I heard him say Black's deranged, and he reckons that Black thinks if he- if he kills me," Harry said in a hushed tone, "that'll bring Voldemort back to life." Ron winced.

Hermione looked horrified. "Oh Harry... if Black, the mass murderer, really is out to kill you... you must be really, really careful... please don't go looking for trouble-"

"I don't go looking for trouble!" Said Harry, bothered. "How thick would I have to be to go looking for a nutter who wants to kill me?!"

Y/N looked sick, and Ron was awfully pale.

"I know, Harry, but you really have to be careful this year." Y/N said quietly.

"Blimey, Harry, if Black really is after you..." Ron looked out into nothing, eyes glassy, imagining horrible things. "No one's ever escaped Azkaban... and he was a top security prisoner too." He continued shakily.

"You guys aren't really worried, are you? I mean, he can't be worse than Voldemort, can he?" Harry asked. He was starting to get worried, seeing the looks on their faces. They were reacting much worse to this than he had expected.

"Maybe not, Harry, but this is really serious. He's still a murderer, and a supporter of You-Know-Who.... They'll catch him won't they?" Hermione said desperately. "It's only a matter of time..."

"Yes." Y/N said firmly, face set. "They have a ton of skilled wizards after him, he can't avoid them for long."

Y/N couldn't bear to imagine the possibility of Sirius Black not returning to his heavily guarded cell in Azkaban. Her fear was creeping up on her as the realization settled in. Black really was after Harry.
