Chapter 75 - Luffy: Goodbye!

I was sitting in the hallway of the submarine, my knees tucked to my chest as I tried to calm my racing head and dry my red eyes.

A nice crew member named Ikkaku lent me some of her clothes, which were black baggy pants and a white T-shirt, and a crewmember named Penguin lent me an orange jacket, which was a little big on me.

Everyone had decided to leave me alone since I'm pretty sure they knew what had happened. I spent the time we used getting away from Marineford, now that we were finally safe, thinking about everything that happened once we got on a ship and headed towards Marineford.

'One of the Major things is that Luffy and Ace have prestigious parents, which completely shocked me. I heard that Dragon was Luffy's dad at Water Seven, but I didn't know about Ace, but it seemed Ace didn't like who his father was.'

I lifted my head, feeling the air dry my eyes, from the end of my crying.

'And that weird guy, with the pink jacket. Super creepy. I never want to see him again.'

'And of everyone there, some major names knew my father. If I recall, Hawk-Eye, Aokiji, and Akainu.'

I looked down again, wiping my eye.

'Akainu. He mentioned a traitor, and when Jimbei saved the three of us, Akainu mentioned executing the traitors. Who was the second one? And he clearly mentioned Dad's name.'

'The three of us... I remember what Ace mumbled to me, right before he and Luffy spoke.'

' "Take care of Luffy".'

I repeated those words over and over in my head, and wiped my tears, standing up.

'That's right. Ace died, and said he had no regrets. I need to fulfil his last wish, otherwise he will have regrets, and I'd let him down.'

I walked over towards the commotion I heard in a separate hallway.

'And if Luffy sees me sad, he'll feel sad to. I have to show an example. Ace died happy. It may not have been a happy situation, but he was happy. I have to remember that, and stay happy for Luffy.'

I opened the door and walked into a hallway with members I recognized as Penguin, Saachi, and Bepo, who was lying on the floor in a pile of sweat. Opening the door grabbed their attention, and the two men, Saachi and Penguin seemed delighted to see me slime, both re-introducing themselves.

Bepo was complaining about it being too hot underwater, and when Penguin told him to stop complaining, Bepo embedded both men in a sweaty hug, and they caved, leaving to ask the captain to surface. When we did surface, Bepo ran to the deck, Saachi, Penguin, and I walking after him.

Bepo let out a huge sigh, feeling almost instantly better, and I giggled, the breeze ruffling the marine hat I still wore, making it cover my eyes.

"What a nice breeze! I think I'll never go back down!" He cried, throwing his arms in the air. He looked to his left and right, and I noticed how foggy it was.

"SNAKE!" [Bepo]

I moved the hat and glanced back at Bepo to see Hancock's snake staring at him, causing Bepo to scream. The three of us ran to his side, the other two in confusion.

"What the hell?!" [Penguin]

Saachi pointed out the ship getting closer, and we recognized it as a Navy ship.

"T-That's a Navy ship!" Saachi pointed.

"Hurry, go tell captain-" [Penguin]

"Quiet, someone's up there!" [Bepo]
