"Stay down," Six said to Claire, who was already hunched in the boat.

He hopped out and stared at the oncoming car, knowing at least four armed people were inside of it.

He whipped out his gun and shot two of them, the driver and the passenger, when he saw something in the distance that he did not like at all.

Bile raised in his throat and the sight distracted him enough for his enemy to have gotten close enough to almost land a hit.

It was like his instincts took over, not even needing to look at his assailants as he easily took them down.

Once they were all taken down, he reloaded his weapon and shot at what he saw.

"Fuck!" Lloyd screamed as the bullet grazed the back of his calf.

Your head whipped around to see Six, standing infinitely still, staring at you and Lloyd.

Lloyd met Six's gaze and steeled his disposition.

"Hey princess, I'm gonna unlock these handcuffs and figure something out real quick, okay? And you're going to stay right here and wait like a good girl for me to get back. Understand?"

You nodded your head, silently wishing Six would look at you, send you even a bit of care after all this time.

Lloyd took no time unlocking the cuffs. Before they even hit the ground, he was sprinting full speed at Six.

He tackled Six to the ground, and you watched them for a second in shock before you saw Claire in a boat behind them.

You took the two deadliest people's distraction as an upper hand for you to stop Claire from whatever she was about to do.

She had just climbed out of the boat when she saw you running toward her, dropping whatever was in her hands and meeting you in a tearful hug.

Holding the girl in your arms, you looked to the floor to see what she had dropped.

A flare gun? Smart kid.

You pulled her away and looked into her eyes intensely. "Claire, get back into that boat and do not come out until I come back for you, okay? No matter what happens."

"No, no! I can't leave you too! Donald, and- an-" she sobbed.

"I know sweetie, I know. But please trust me, I will come back, okay?"

She half nodded and you pushed her in the direction of the boat, hoping Lloyd didn't see her, still distracted by his tussle with Six.

You saw a fifth person slowly clamber out of a vehicle placed to the side, grasping a gunshot wound that was in his shoulder.

His movements were lagged, but he still wielded a gun.

You quickly ran up to him, taking his gun and shoving it to the sky as you punched his face.

This man was huge, and he was much stronger than you, but he was extensively weakened by the gunshot.

His face still to the side from your blow, you shoved one finger and attempted to shove a second into his wound, eliciting a horrible squelching noise that you would vomit over later.

He screeched, earning the attention of both Lloyd and Six, too distracted by their own fight to even realize you were with them.

Still focused on your fingers in his shoulder, you didn't notice the mans head coming down at yours, an audible crack coming from the impact of your skulls colliding.

This knocked you to the ground, where the disoriented fighter took a shot at your head but missing, hitting your shoulder instead.

You thought you had felt pain before? You were wrong. Your eyes braced shut, your hand instantly shot up to your injured shoulder, and you groaned. You couldn't even make out as much as a scream, the pain turning off parts of your brain.
