It's been a little over a month since we destroyed the Rippers, Iron Mike wasn't too happy about it but he came to accept that what was done was done and it was for the best. I've been living in the small cabin with the two brothers and jack, Boozer's puppy. life lately has never been better, me and Deacon have become closer and Boozer sees me as a little sister.

me and Deacon have been working together to take out ambush camps along the roads as well as teaming up and taking down hordes when we come across them, he even brings me along on some bounty jobs when I'm up to it, and am not busy with stuff around the camp. Mike gave me the job of organizing scout shifts and scavenging runs. Occasionally I help Addy around the infirmary when I have free time, she seemed like she needed some extra help, after the Ripper attack I heard that she kinda had a breakdown. said she wasn't actually a doctor and that she couldn't do it anymore, Luckily, someone calmed her down and she seems better now. Things also seem better between her and Rikki, which is great to see.

Iron Mike, knowing that Skizzo wouldn't get a fair trial, he let him go. told him to leave Lost Lake out of pity. Deacon was furious but he eventually got over it and focused on other things. other things like trying to get back in touch with someone named O'Brien, Deek says he may be able to explain what's happening to me, and why it's only started in the past half year. So far, he's only gotten radio silence but every day he's out on the porch at the same time trying to reach O'Brien.

Boozers has been upgraded from farm duty to head of camp security, both me and Deek are extremely proud of him. in the time that I've been here I've managed to make some friends, not just Addy or Rikki but two twin siblings named Seth and liv Jackson. obviously, not identical twins but they are no less joined at the hip. I met them on one of my first days organizing a scavenging run, we clicked immediately. they share the same humor, which makes them extra funny and extremely enjoyable to be around. I hang out with them when Deacon is away somewhere.

in fact, I'm actually with them right now, Deacon is out doing something for Tucker and I said that I'd sit this one out. "Lovely weather we're getting don't ya think," Seth says, I snort as I look out the window at the small rivers of rain running down the slopes of the camp "oh yeah, I love having a high chance of being flooded." the twins giggle "well at least it's not snowing, yet. god do I ever hate the snow"

I raise the glass of hot tea I'm holding "that makes two of us" Liv tries to say something over a mouthful of food "mm too" we all burst out in laughs " ok three, that makes three" we carry on with light topics as the hard sound of rain echos through the small cabin.

"Can I ask you a question Erin" I look up from my almost empty cup and nod at Liv "yeah, of course." She takes a minute to look around the small room "how do you do it?" I look at her with confusion and the moment she opens her mouth my face turns a bright red and I'm forced to swallow my tea instead of spitting it out " you and Deacon, how do you two you know, do it? I can't imagen Boozer being a great mood starter."

"Oh my god stop, your gonna make me die of embarrassment. and no, he isn't, that's why me and Deek haven't done anything yet." I mumble the last part. both pairs of eyes widen "seriously, I thought you guys did, what with you two always being around one another or with the way you two look at each other I thought for sure you two were getting down and dirty." I shake my head "nope, we don't want to rush, there's no need to. plus, we haven't really had the time or alone time to actually even enact it."

Seth speaks next "that's actually kind of sweet, the part about not rushing, not the part about not having the time. when does he come back?" I take a moment to think "either tomorrow or the next day, he shouldn't be out longer than that unless something goes wrong. Why do you ask?" Seth shrugs "I think you two need to get away somewhere, just the two of you. some you could have time to talk about the next steps in your relationship and stuff"
