A/N: So I'm a jerk! I thought I had posted this chapter! 🙈🙈 but I didn't! I'm so sorry. I'm actually working on part two of this chapter now, but please enjoy the update. Sorry it took forever. Y'all know these 9-5 jobs are slave work!
Wildflower is a flower that grows in the wild, meaning it was not intentionally seeded or planted. Wildflower is a flower that grows without any help from people. They grow naturally in their environment. People may grow wildflowers in their gardens, but most wildflowers are native plants and grow in woods, meadows, and wetlands – anywhere they adapt to grow.
Bucky pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing. Things with Brook just kept getting worse, especially now that she knows that he was with August and Claude. "Thanks, Cory."
"Don't mention it. She pisses me off, ya know. Just because she's got some money and a name, she thinks that we need to all do as she commands. Urgh, I don't even know why the fuck Aspen is her friend." Cory said as he sat next to Benny.
"She's meek and shy." Everyone looked towards Shyanne as she spoke, "When she started attending school here sure had a hard time making friends. Brook saw that and got her finely manicured claws into her and after that, it was harder to get to Aspen. She's a good girl with a pure heart, but Brook has her captive. We should try to understand that she isn't a horrible person like her friend, just someone caught in an unfortunate friendship." Shyanne sighed and looked at her friends. "I'm going to save her from Brook one day. She deserves better friends than that toad!"
August nodded. "I agree. She didn't hurt me that day, she looked remorseful but tried to play along. I'll help you get her away from Brook, Anne." Theo looked at her, then sighed.
"I'll help too. Aspen has always been kind to me, Lucy liked her too." Bucky said.
Cory huffed out, rolling his eyes. "I'll help too, Aspen's alright." Benny chuckled next to him and he smirked and ruffled his hair, catching the blush crawling up his friend's neck. "You in too, Benny?" He looked up at him and nodded.
"Not to derail this savor mission, but I'm hungry," Blaine said, he dodged a slap from his sister and clicked his tongue. "Yeah, I get that she's important, but she's not in any danger right now, so I think it's safe to say that we put a pin in the idea and do this lunch, picnic thing before I die of starvation!" Blaine yelped as Ainsley punched him in his side and he growled at her, shoving her face away as he stood. "Yeah what? I'll be the asshole if it means getting something to eat." He checked his watch and hummed. "Doesn't Aspen have a study group now? If it makes you heroes feel better, you guys can get her from that class and bring her along." Blaine arched a brow, then looked up when he noticed how quiet it was amongst his friends. "What?"
"Great idea baby brother!" Ainsley jumped up to hug him and he scoffed.
"You guys are annoying," Blaine muttered.
Ainsley pinched his cheek, making him groan as he rolled his eyes, but he didn't push her away. Blaine could be a jerk sometimes but that was just how he was, he was blunt and hard to swallow, but he was kind when it mattered.
"So, we're gonna steal a girl. Okay, I'm in." Cory said, throwing an arm around Benny's neck to pull him in.
"Of course, that would interest you. You're a menace." Peter stood and stretched, looking over the determined Shyanne. "So, rescue mission? But how would we keep her from Brook after the fact?"
August shrugged. "We don't. We only need to convince her otherwise. She's seen what Brook can do, and how she acts. That must mean something."
Peter sighed and looked at Bucky. "You know she's caught up too deep with Brook, right? She'll never just leave her friend to join this merry gang of rainbows." Peter scoffed when Bucky shrugged and August grinned his way. "I guess."
