[GAME OVER!]

[WOULD YOU LIKE TO START AGAIN?]

[[YES]] [NO]

[REMINDER: LUCK IS IMPORTANT IN THIS GAME.]

----------

The date today was supposed to be Monday, January 13, 2053.

I was just sleeping on my bed comfortably last night, yet when I woke up, my smart watch where I was supposed to see the 53-01-13, was showing something completely different.

Considering my outstanding memory, there's no way I would have gotten it wrong. There's no way Kang Hyunjin, one of the most prominent geniuses in Asia would have gotten it wrong.

But still, it boggled my mind.

I thought, at first, that my eyes were playing tricks on me (I usually get dizzy whenever I wake up), and maybe I just haven't had enough sleep. Or perhaps I was dreaming (which I don't think so).

Did I get into comatose without me knowing? No, that's not it either. I should've woken up in the far future and not in the past.

Looking around the room I'm in, it doesn't look like the ones in the hospital. It looks really downgraded. I feel really sad not being able to see a big screen on the ceiling.

There must be something wrong with my brain.

Right? There's no other reason. That was the most logical answer I can think of in this ambiguous situation I'm in.

Maybe after sleeping again for a few more minutes will make things alright.

Ha...

But alas, I'm still inside a strange room with a completely different date.

November 13, 2022.

A year that I didn't even exist in.

Heck, I just turned twenty-six last month! I'm sure I'm not some century old man!

My parents, at this time, were probably just getting ready to get married (my hyung is on the way) and my grandfather, being himself, was surely opposing them, saying that they don't suit each other.

Oh.

Speaking of my grandfather, he just passed away a week ago, leaving me with so much garbage- I mean, inheritance. It was a lot, more than I expected. Considering his relationship with my family, or the lack thereof, he left me quite a sum, more than the amount he left with his other kids and grandkids.

It was confusing (unnecessary), and totally unlike him to do something like this.

Well, I guess when you're about to die and a lot of them are wishing for it, you would resort to doing things that are not expected of you.

And I must add, the way my relatives' faces contracted like tortured worms when the lawyer was reading the will, was so so so satisfying to watch.

That was probably the first time I genuinely laughed after five years and six months. I really thank my grandfather for that sincerely.

Now... I regret ever thanking that old man.

I should mess up and thrash his sepulcher when I get back in my world.

I can bet my life- no actually, my life is too valuable for that. I bet with all of his money, that that fucking old man is the sole reason why I'm in this strange predicament. A world with a slow internet, outdated computer and ear deafening vehicles.

A world that is bound to chaos.

Fuck.

I'm in so much trouble.
