Andrew's POV:
I love Tori with all of my heart, I want her to give her a ring that represents her and us as a couple. I need to talk to someone who is closer to Tori, a friend perhaps. I quickly dial Kamari's number, waiting for her to pick up. "Hey Andrew what's up man?" "Hey Kamari! So listen I need you to come down Kay Jewelers for a surprise for Tori!" There's silence for a minute until she understands why I'm asking for this favor. "ANDREW! ARE YOU GONNA PROPOSE TO HER???!!" She screams into the phone. "I'll be right over!!" She chirps as I hang up.
Kamari's POV:
I'm so happy for Tori! She definitely deserves to treated like the great girl she is. I'm so glad that she and Andrew are a real deal kind of couple and that he treats her with respect. As soon as I find a parking, I pull up into the space and into Kay Jewelers. When I come through the front door of the shop, I see Andrew standing at the engagement ring counter. As I come nearer to him, I tap his shoulder. He jumps, startled by me. "Hey! You scared the crap out of me!" He says, while his eyes widen with excitement. "You need to help me out! I'm trying to find the perfect ring for the perfect girl! Plus, you know her better than I do so help me Kamari!" I giggle and put hand on his shoulder "Relax bro! I got you. We'll find her something so beautiful that she'll have to say yes!" I reassure him kindly.
Andrew's POV:
My thoughts are interrupted by the woman standing behind the counter. "So sir, in order to find the perfect ring for your special girl, I need to know what she likes. So let me in on all of the details." She says with a sincere smile. "Well she is a very fashionable lady, she loves the color black and sliver, she plays guitar, sings like an angel and ..." Kamari interrupts me "Okay Andrew now it's my turn! She loves modern stuff. However, she also likes a bit of old fashion in her style. The woman listens to us carefully, goes into the drawer of rings and pulls out a beautiful black diamond ring. The woman smiles. "I think this ring would be perfect for... wait you never mentioned her name." She says confused. "Her name is Tori." I say happily. "Well this will the perfect ring for Tori! This ring is a 14k White, Black Gold Rose-cut, Black Diamond Ring. It has just enough class but still has some old- fashion flair to it!" She says with joy. I look at Kamari for a moment, she nods her head in approval.
I smile "Okay then! This is it then. Can I have a black velvet box and a ring cleaner as well?" I ask her kindly. "Of course! That'll be $1050 please!" She asks as I give her my debt card. She quickly hands it back me, as Kamari and I head out of the shop.
"I think that during the graduation ceremony is when I'll propose. I have to ask her father first of course though." I say to Kamari smiling. "Yeah! You should do that now and receive his blessing. Well I'll let you get to it then, if you want I'll call Tori and see if she's down to hang for a while. That way you can ask Papa Kellz. In fact, I'll call her now. She calls her quickly. "Hey Tori! You want to Disneyland tonight? Like right now! Okay I'll see you there in like five minutes!" And with that, she hangs up. I thank Kamari for helping me out, jump in my car and head over to Tori's house.
I ring the doorbell and wait for Mr. Kelly to come out. I'm nervous but I'm ready. Mr. Kelly open the locks comes outside. "Hi Andrew. Tori isn't around ya know." He says warmly. "I know sir! I wanted to speak to you actually. You see, Tori and I have been together for about two years now. Sir, you know that I love your daughter. I'd do anything to make her happy. So what I'm trying to ask is... would you give me your blessing for her hand in marriage?"
He smiles sincerely, "Andrew my boy, yes! You've treated her with nothing but respect. My daughter needs someone to love her unconditionally, and I know that you'll be the right man for the job. Welcome to the family son!" He says as he spreads his arms out for a hug. "So when are you going to propose?" he asks. "I'm going to propose after the ceremony, like as soon as its over, but remember it's our little secret until then." I say goodbye to Mr. Kelly as I step off of the porch and head home, well gotta start thinking about what I'm gonna say to her. Lord help me cause I'm not ready!
