After Scott was left alone he went to a bookshelf and grabbed a book. He ended up choosing a book he'd never read. It was one of Xornoth's favourites despite being a fiction, something his sibling didn't enjoy much.
Cutting for Stone
Scott always preferred fiction, however Xor enjoyed science books.
He sat next to his brother and started reading.
After an hour Xornoth woke up.
Once the elf had come more into consciousness Scott tackled his older brother in a hug
"Don't you dare do anything like that again you asshole!" Scott mumbled into Xornoth's shoulder
"Do what?"
"Leaving for five years, making me think you died only to come back completely different and when we finally get you back you pass out for who knows how long!"
"Sorry bud, I- I dunno how to manage those things again, I don't plan on getting possessed ever again but I promise I won't leave you. I never wanted to in the first place."
Scott sat up moving next to his brother with Xornoth following
"What do you mean"
"When father found out I was chosen as Exor's champion he kicked me out of the kingdom. He didn't let me gather anything or even say goodbye to anyone. I just had to get out"
Scott stayed silent only curling up slightly.
Xornoth pulled his brother closer to him in a hug.
Scott curled up into his older brother before yawning trying to hide it.
"Tired?" Xornoth asked
Scott shook his head
"When was the last time you slept?"
Scott mumbled into his brothers shirt
"Pardon me?"
"about a month"
"A month! You're going to bed"
"No, Xor I'm fine"
"Nope, bedtime"
Xornoth picked up Scott laying him down on his lap covering the younger in a fuzzy blanket.
"Bedtime baby bro"
"15 minutes" Scott mumbled
"Don't care sleep"
Scott wanted to argue further but decided to give in and fell asleep quickly.
Xornoth picked up the book that was left open on page 4, He noted the page number in his head and started reading from the beginning, gently playing with his younger brother's hair as he did so.
Just all the brotherly fluff. It won't continue for long. JK it will be a lot of brotherly fluff
