After the events of helping Blade with those goddamn vampires, I realized now that I needed to rest. I think I was up for like four days straight.

Here I was, making breakfast for myself while I had bandages around my torso, arms and half my leg. Unlike the rest, I'm only human. My TV was on and I changed the channel to the news, just to see that the Sinister Six were causing Chaos into the streets of New York. But luckily, Spider-Man was there and so was some of the Avengers, they don't need me, well not like they needed me in the first place. Oh well, I'm on a break. I sat at the table and was still watching the news, seeing them easily handle the Sinister Six was actually quite satisfying. My phone started to ring and it someone that I never thought who would call.... Captain Marvel.

Y/n:{"what do you want, Carol?"}

Carol:{"I just wanted to see how you're doing y/n."}

Y/n:{"I'm fine, is that all?"}

Carol:{"do you want to get a bite to eat? My treat."}

I didn't answer for a few minutes, I was still pretty upset of what she did to me. But, I think my mother would beat my ass if I didn't give her a second chance.

Y/n:{"alright Carol, I'll humor you. Where at?"}

Carol:{"the steakhouse, it's a few blocks down from you."}

Y/n:{"right. Be there in a few minutes."}

Timeskip: Jimmy's Steakhouse
(A/n: not sure if that's an actual place.)

Here I was, the steakhouse. I just wanted to get this out of the way. I looked around And saw her. She sees me and waves me over as I got closer and slowly pulled a seat up in front of her.

Carol:"hi y/n."

Y/n:"Carol."

Carol:"you look quite handsome, still working out?"

Y/n:"nearly everyday. Look why am I here?"

Carol:"*sighs* I'm still sorry... For what I did. You didn't deserve it."

Y/n:"you mean the fact that you led me into an ambush which required SHIELD to nearly capture me?"

Carol:"you think I wanted to do that? I never wanted that."

Y/n:*Silence*

Flashback: 9 months ago

Y/n's P.O.V

Carol and I were heading to a warehouse that apparently were occupied by drug dealers but, I don't see anyone.

Y/n:"Carol, what are we doing here?"

Carol:"y/n.... I'm... I'm sorry.." *turns around*

Y/n:"what you m-"

Suddenly the lights were turned on and armed men were around me, their guns pointing at me as I looked at all of them and turned my attention to Carol. It breaks my heart, knowing that I was betrayed by someone who I thought I could trust. But Trust was a bitch now, wasn't it? The man himself appeared, the Director of SHIELD. Nick fucking Fury.

Fury:"good work Captain."

Y/n:"still on Fury's leash, Carol..?"

Fury:"Moon Knight, you're under arrest for the murder of U.S Agent and nearly killing Falcon."

Y/n:"you know I have mad respect for Falcon, and that murder, I did not do."

Fury:"take him, Men."

Fury's men started to circle in on me, I took this as an opportunity to use my grappling gun and launch myself through the roof, running away from the authority.

Choppers flying near me and shining their lights on me while I kept running as several SHIELD Agents lands in front of me

Y/n:"I'm in no mood for this!"

Flashback ends

Y/n:"doesn't matter now. Shield is gone and I'm happy with that."

Carol:"you don't mean that.."

Y/n:"the fuck I don't. I mean everything of it. Fuck Shield, fuck Hydra, to Hell with everything."

Carol:"so that's it? I'm not longer able to visit you or anything? No forgiveness?"

Y/n:"look I'm... I'm having a hard time with trust. Ever since my parents died, I been different. But that betrayal, was the last straw. I forgive you because that's what my mother would've wanted, but I won't be around you for awhile."

Carol:"I understand.."

I saw the look on her face. Apart of me still wanted to be angry at her but I can tell what she did was also haunting her. And here I used to have a crush on her. But I leaned back in my chair and shake my head

Y/n:"what're you getting? I'll pay for us both."

Carol:"you don't ha-"

Y/n:"I don't have too, sure. But I want too."

Timeskip: after Lunch

It was just me and Carol now, I was walking her back to the Avenger's Tower. There was silence between us but it wouldnt last much longer since we were here now

Carol:"thank you for, having Lunch with me."

Y/n:"I think we just needed to get some stuff off our chests."

Carol:"yeah, that uhm, needed that to happen."

Y/n:"well, I guess I'll see you la-"

I was grabbed by my arm and was kissed on the cheek by Carol while her other hand was placed on my other cheek. She pulls away from my face and looks at me, causing me to look back at her as we stared into each other's eyes as her cheeks were slightly red

Carol:"see you soon Y/n.."

Carol slowly walked inside the Tower as I stood there, but I snapped back into reality as I walked away and headed to my apartment. That kiss... Did she actually mean it? Ugh, who knows. I'll question it later, I just wanna sleep in for a bit.
