You were out in the middle of nowhere. You don't know why you were there. What you remembered was getting this game called the Henry Stickmin Collection and clicking the start button on the first episode. At that moment you somehow blacked out. There was no family or friends involved in it. Just you playing the game. Or is it the game playing you? You weren't quite sure but you heard two voices nearby.
"It wouldn't be so hot if you didn't wear that beanie all the time," one of the voices said.
"But this beanie is iconic," the other voice said.
"True that, homeslice," the voice said again, "Now, how are we supposed to get in this place anyways?"
Just then, an options screen popped up but you had no control over it. The options were shovel, explosives, teleporter, laser, wrecking ball, and disguise. The selector went to shovel and you heard a noise from the legend of zelda.
'What a strange game,' you thought.
"The shovel seems like a pretty safe choice," the voice said.
"Good thinking!" The other one complimented.
After that, you heard digging. You decided to walk over and saw one stick figure with a captains hat and a huge hole.
"Hello?" You asked.
"Huh," the voice in the hole said after you and the captain guy heard a metal ping, "Oh. Did I hit something?"
There was another ping and what sounded like air deflating. A lighter flint was heard before an explosion took place. That explosion included the captain guy, the other mysterious person and... you.
"Yikes," the captain guy said, "That's gonna leave a mark."
What appeared in your vision was not what you were expecting.
FAIL
Did you really think Player was gonna win on his first try?
You went back to the options screen and the selector then selected teleporter.
"Let's try the teleporter this time," the mysterious guy said.
They were wearing a red beanie.
"Nice!" The captain guy said, "Zap me, baby!"
"Hang on," beanie guy said, "I've never used one of things before."
He pressed a button and then you were teleported into the concrete wall in front of them. It was super painful.
"AGH!" You screamed, "Teleport somebody else in a wall will ya?!"
"Oops," the beanie guy said.
FAIL
I mean technically it did teleport them.
You were one again put back to the options screen.
"Choose a disguise!" You complained.
The selector chose disguise.
'Finally,' you thought.
You received an empty money bag. Both of the stick men had one too.
