Chapter 10

SEOKJIN THOUGHTS AND VIEWS ON EVENTS

Taking Athena out on our first date is one of my best memories right next to when she accepted my date request.

Sunday started like all the others I've had in the last few years the only thing that was different was the feeling that had taken over my entire body. I'm not sure how to explain it.
Joy?
Excitement?
Warmth?
Anticipation?
Nervousness?
I don't know but I would say I was feeling all of them simultaneously. I had already planned where we would go and eat what we would do after to have a nice conversation about anything and everything also a conversation about nothing just us sitting on a bench after dinner surrounded by silence.

Later that day.

Text messages.

                                        Seokjin: I forgot to ask for your address love ❤️.

Athena: if you didn't text to ask and just showed up here I would have to think that your stalking me and this date is you planning to kill me 😂.

Seokjin: that's not very funny Haywood you do know that they would use this conversation against me in court if something happens to you today.

Athena: Alright Mr. Kim I'm still a little busy here so let's cut the conversation short my address is **************

                            Seokjin: Thanks see you later okay?

Athena:OK.

Six thirty came around more quickly than expected and everything was going according to plan. Spraying a little more perfume on I make my way out of the door.

Driving to her home made me as nervous as my first job the guys. Fifteen minutes later I'm parallel parking at the front of her home. Picking up the single midnight blue rose that I've bought I step out of the car. Walking up the short steps to her door  I lift my hands to knock before I can I heard her voice through her doorbell camera.

Athena: Come in it's open I'm just finishing up. Make yourself comfortable Kim. Also, take your shoes off there's a pair of slippers there that I think might fit you.

Seokjin: Haywood you're ruining what I've had in mind for how I would great you.

Opening her door I slip off my shoes at the door and slipped on the slippers that looked like it was there to welcome me.

Seokjin: You completely ruined it. You were supposed to open the door, look up at me with so much admiration in your eyes and I would look into your eyes like they hold all the stars. I would pull the rose you would collect it and we would leave it in my car after I complimented you on how beautiful you looked.

Hearing her laugh traveling through the apartment put a smile on my face and made some of the nerves wash away.

Athena: how long have you been thinking about picking me up Kim, honestly you impressed me there. Have you also thought about how I would react to all of those sweet things you were planning? Alright I'm done you can answer in a moment so that we can stop shouting around my apartment.

Suddenly I could hear the soft clicking of heels on the floor becoming louder with each step.

Athena: why didn't you sit down you look so uncomfortable and awkward standing next to the couch like that.

She said after she appeared a few feet in front of me softly shaking her head.

Seokjin: I don't know why I didn't, oh I've brought this for you

I said holding out single midnight blue rose.

Athena: you didn't have to but thanks hold on let me just put this in some water.

A few minutes after we were in the car on the way to the restaurant

Athena: oh the wait is long overdue please tell me what we are doing today I'm dressed properly. I need a hint.

Seokjin: since we are already on the way I'll just tell you. So first we're going to eat so I hope you haven't eaten but if you've had it already I can cancel it and we'll eat later.

Athena: hmm I haven't now that I'm thinking about it I did have breakfast but not lunch so I'm starving and after dinner what are we doing I hope you haven't just planned dinner I want to get to know you a little more.

Seokjin: there's more planned don't worry we have our whole lives ahead of us you'll get to know me then can't be married and have nothing to talk about.

Athena: You're pushing it a little too far now Kim.

Seokjin: okay I'll stop you know Athena you look ravishing tonight.

Athena: You don't look too bad yourself Mr. Kim. Had me contemplating going home with you tonight.

Seokjin: don't start what you can't finish Haywood let's eat first we're here.

Pulling into the front of the restaurant my side of the car is opened by one of the valets out front. Walking to Athena's side I open her door and stretch my hand out for her to collect.

Athena: Thank you.

She said as she gained her footing on the ground. Placing my hand on the small of her back I begin to guide her inside.

After getting seated at a table and ordering we start making small conversations to get to know each other. Watching and listening to her about anything and everything was exactly how I imagined it.

(I don't know what they can speak about we have all of the information about them so we'll leave it at that.)

Dinner was wrapping up and it was already time for us to leave. Excusing ourselves to the washroom to freshen up my phone started vibrating. (Yes I have my phone on vibrate phones ringing in a public setting that is calm and quiet is rude and people should stop doing it.)

Looking at my phone I noticed that Joon was calling.

Call 0.01

Namjoon: jin I'm sorry but you'll have to cut your state short bring Athena so that she can stay with Tyah.

Jin: Hell no I just fucking finished eating for christ sake what the fuck do you want now I specifically told you last week multiple times that I do not want to be disturbed tonight can't you ask one of the others to do it call up jimin of something.

Namjoon: I need all of you here do not question me I've already called the others I need Athena here to distract Tyah because she and jungkook was also having a date and I need him as well so Athena needs to be there so that she won't ask questions until later.

Seokjin: Alright we'll be there shortly can I know what's going on because it sounds urgent?

Namjoon: one of the supplies of guns is gone and it had drugs packed in between them that's a double fucking loss and I need you and the others to track it down because I can't fucking afford to lose it someone is playing with my business I need them tied to a fucking chair immediately so get you ass here now.

Seokjin: okay I'll see you in 20 bye.

Watching as Athena slips back onto the dining floor I'm irritated at the call I just received.

Athena: are you okay why are you looking so stressed and irritated what's going on?

Seokjin: namjoon just called something came out and I need to be there to assist him I'm so sorry but I need to help him with this I've invested  in the project as well and I don't need to be going bankrupt at such a young age.

Athena: do you guys need help or anything I'm good with financial stuff. If not can you just drop me off at Tyah's I really need to catch up with her actually.

Seokjin: thanks for the offer but we don't need help and I was going to drop you off there anyways namjoon requested that you go there jungkook and tyah was having a date night as well and he cut it short for them and he's kinda scared of Tyah so he needs you to distract he for a couple of hours okay.

Athena: that's fine let's get going then now.
