A lot of this is probably gonna be filler chapters and it may get a little boring but I hope you'll enjoy them either way. However, I will mention since my writing style has changed there will be a lot more detail and chapters will probably be a lot longer. I may eventually go back and rewrite the entire story in this new style but that chance is slim to none seeing as I can barely update to begin with.

Dean's suspension was over before they knew it and he was back at school. Lucifer, Balthazar and Crowley had gotten suspended for an entire week (since they had started the fight in the first place) so they were still gone. The beginning of the day went by fairly quickly and lunch rolled around.

Dean got his tray and headed over to his usual table. He noticed as he passed the jock's table that the football players and cheerleaders that usually said hi to him or tried to flirt with him were ignoring him. It almost seemed like they were even refusing to look at him and the ones that did either looked away quickly or gave him a dirty look. Word must've travelled fast.

He decided to ignore it and sit down beside Charlie who was nose deep in a book.

"Since when do you read?" Dean asked, causing her to jump a little as she hadn't seen him coming.

"What? Oh! Anna suggested it to me," Charlie responded, "it's called A Court of Thorns and Roses. It's about this girl who killed a fairy and now they're mad at her and made her their prisoner now she has to fight for her life."

"You really are a simp, aren't you?" He teased, earning a sharp punch to the shoulder before she turned her attention back to her book. Dean chuckled a little and shook his head.

It didn't take long for everyone to join them. Sammy, Gabe, Cas, Anna. The gang was all here. Minus one..

Sometimes Dean would find himself staring at the empty seat across the table where Kevin once sat. Just by instinct no one ever sat there, even the ones who hadn't known him. No one ever said who's seat it used to be but somehow it's like they just knew.

He also sometimes wondered what Kevin would think of the Novaks and vise versa. He bet Cas and Kevin would've gotten along well. They would've been able to talk about everything for hours with their extensive knowledge of trivial things.

Dean was pulled from his thoughts by Cas tapping his shoulder.

"Are you okay?" He asked with a concerned look.

Dean plastered on a smile and nodded. "Yeah sorry just spaced out a little."

Castiel nodded as he took a bite of his food. "Oh, Dean," he said once he'd finished chewing, "do you wanna come over after school and study a bit for the history test coming up? Then after we can continue American Horror Story."

"Sorry I can't tonight. I have work at the garage. Bobby's been grilling my ass for missing so much," he answered.

It had been almost a month since Kevin had passed and he still hadn't returned to work. Bobby was more than willing to give him as much time as he needed but he also didn't want him to wallow around forever and insisted he needed something besides football practice and the Novaks to get his mind off of things.

"Oh that's okay. We can always reschedule," Cas replied, taking another bite of food.

"You could always join me. We can still fit in some studying and I can show you a thing or two about cars," Dean suggested.

"Oh uh... Sure!" Cas says, a little too enthusiastically, which everyone at the table except Dean catches but they don't say anything.
