Word Count: 2,400
Starting this right after I published chapter 2 so hopefully it won't take too long this time. I'm trying my best to keep a schedule but I'm horrible at planning so. You know.
Later: Ugh it's December 14th. I'm sorry.
NOTE!:
I HAVE VERY EXCITING NEWS! I just spent the last thirty minutes writing out the summary of this book. I know exactly where I'm going to go with this story and I'm not going to be pulling things out of my ass anymore! This will NOT become a dead book like all of my other stories!(Unfortunate foreshadowing. -November 2nd, 2022
I am hopefully going to clear up my writers block and start this book up again, maybe even with the help of my fiance. Yeah it's been a wild ride my dudes. 😌 I do still have the summary in my notes from all those years ago though, so don't worry!)I've also recently started a very literate roleplay with someone on tumblr so my writing is definitely going to improve. Well, hopefully.
ALERT!: I know nothing about football. I apologize in advance.
×Dean's POV; After School×
I walked into the locker room and was immediately smacked in the face with the smell of sweat and feet. I gagged a little and started breathing through my mouth. I walked over to my locker and started getting my pads on for practice. I ignored the other football players messing around in my area. I got on my helmet and jogged onto the field.
"Hey Coach Singer," I chuckled, pushing up the facemask of my helmet. Bobby was like a second father to me. At first, it was weird calling him coach singer instead of just Bobby, but I got used to it.
No special treatment. I'm your coach. Jus 'cause you're family, don't mean I'm gonna treat ya any different than the rest of 'em.
"Winchester. Perfect timing. I need you to lead warm ups today."
"You mean like I always do?"
"Don't sass me boy," he warned, raising a finger to me. I held my hands up in defense.
"Okay, okay. I'll go," I chuckled. I put in my mouth guard and pulled my facemask back down before jogging over to the rest of the team. My team. Bobby insisted that he only made me captain because I was the best player, but I think it's something else, too. Like the fact that he looks at me like a son.
I let my mouth guard fall from my mouth when I made it to the rest of the team. I don't know why I put it in to begin with.
"Alright, team!" I shouted, "warm up time! 25 burpies! 30 high knees! 20 squats! Then stretch on your own! Once you're done, line up in the touchdown zone! GO!"
The team grumbled before starting their warm up. I replaced my mouth guard before joining them. I wasn't fucking around. I'm a very dedicated player. Football is pretty much all I have. It gives me an excuse to stay away from home. I glanced over to the bleachers where Sam usually sat and waited (since, you know, I'm his ride) but he wasn't there.
Hm.
I finished the warm ups and stretched a little, popping my knuckles and then my neck. When I turned around only a third of the team had made it to the sideline. Some of them were still on there high kicks.
"COME ON, TEAM! I'M NOT HERE TO BABYSIT A BUNCH OF PUSSIES!! GET THE LEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!!" I shouted. I love my job. Bobby shot me a look and I just smiled, knowing he wouldn't do anything about it. He's tried so many different ways to get these dumbasses to stop goofing off and somehow screaming and cussing at them is the only way to do it.
